The Soar Point in Leicester

I brought my partner and a new friend to this fantastic bar, situated at the end of Leicester's glorious Castle Park. I am very new to the area, and we'd already earmarked Soar Point as a place to visit.Entering through the doors, the place is MASSIVE. It goes underground and is pleasantly cool, especially on a hot day like yesterday. Walking down the steps, the decorations made it very clear we'd made the right decision.I sat my friends down at a fantastic comic themed table - complete with plugs for a potential laptop or phone charger, and hopped up to the bar for some drinks (and a fantastic cocktail - Tikka 😩🙊to die for).I was served by Sara (Sarah?) Who was a fantastic host, recommending me cocktails, letting me pet her gorgeous dog Odie, and just generally brightening the whole establishment with her fantastic outfit, smiles and general vibe.To quote little orphan Annie "I think I'm gonna like it here!". I intend to spend a lot more time in this wonderful establishment, and would highly recommend anyone check it out. Soar point, flying high 💓💞💖 💸

Great meeting place for students. Just on the edge of town, between the edge of the Town Centre and Braunstone Gate, so plenty of choices to move on to. And right on the canal bank, with a veranda over the water.Good atmosphere, reasonable prices, helpful staff.Top banana score of 4 🍌🍌🍌🍌

Just eaten an early dinner here. Amazing service and 5* food. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. I will be back very soon…

A favourite of mine since starting uni in September 2018, I still haunt this place on a regular basis. It's been through some major changes over the years including a refurb that added a second floor balcony and coffee hut.This place has everything, a Riverside Balcony, Pool Tables, Mario Kart, Bingo, Quiz and a very retro pop aesthetic! I even get lots of free & discounted food and drinks with their generous More Points scheme!The staff are very friendly and welcoming, Tara & Maggie have been here as long as I remember and recognise me as a regular patron and talk to me when they can.Emma, a friend I made in first year is also a great bartender and always nice to see on shift and lately one of their newest staff members, Doreen has made for a great new addition to the team whom I forgive for taking what could have been my role, they're very deserving of it! 😁

Only went in for a couple of drinks on the walk home. It was lovely, we sat outside next to the canal. One of the bar men that served was really friendly and he had great customer service unfortunately don’t know a name.

Perfect day with my girl we decided on hot dogs and we loved it. (She got the vegan dog) The atmosphere is great here if you love watching the games on enough screens and pool table and much more. Great for a fun night out with food!!!!

Friendly student bar just off De Montfort University campus. On road parking via meters outside. Staff are very friendly. Bar serves food and has a variety of bar games areas.

Great bar and very friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere every time I've been here and always a great selection of craft beers. I highly recommend this place. Roughly 10 from the centre or from the King Power Stadium. I shall return again 😉🍺⚽️🇾🇪
