Toro's Steak House in Leicester

The place looks much better than it did, service is still way short of being excellent, sad to say the food wasn’t great last night, I have never visited this place & not finished my food, after asking for a medium rare steak, the one I got was done well done, not to my taste or standards. I paid the bill, I did get £11 knocked off a £91 bill, which I appreciated, but would rather have paid the full price & got what I ordered.

Ordered from Deliveroo honestly I don’t know why you bother the steak is undercooked Chips stone cold sores cold seven runner beans really!! well done on the coleslaw though that was cold as well!!nearly £30 for a pile of rubbish if you can’t cook good food why bother waking up in the morning!!

I last visited Toros 6 years ago and I am happy to say that much has improved!. I ordered the surf and turf with double chips and a strawberry mojito. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare, as requested, the prawns were yummy as was the mojito. My only issue was the portions were a little on the small side but apart from that it was a good experience. The waiters were good, they didn't constantly bother us but if we needed something they assisted quickly. I will definitely be returning. Thank you!.

Our first visit here and after reading so much of rave reviews about this steak place, we left not too impressed. From the table service given by the wait staff, taste, portion of meat and price, we felt that we could have had a better meal. The wait staff are not well-trained and barely have knowledge of the food items and they kept standing by the counter to have a chat. It felt u comfortable as we were seated right in front of the drinks counter so kept encountering them doing that. The restaurant manager was very helpful and professional as was one of the male staff who served us our orders from the kitchen. They need to increase the meat portion and less of the carbs/ side veggies. The spicy rice was anything but spicy.

Disrespectful unintelligent failures serve in this excuse of a restaurant. The staff had the nerve to be disrespectful and talk bad about my mother all gathered around the counter. 0 understanding of how to set the correct ambience in an environment where families gather. Would have loved for someone to have said something to our faces. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Service great, food was not good. First steak T bone came out with out the rib side attached. When questioned the staff informed me they only serve it with the sirloin side!!! So only half a T bone. The steaks are smashed with a hammer before serving making it impossible to cook the steak to your liking. The fillet we had was the size of a plate and only 1cm thick. The replacement ribeye was raw, I requested medium rare. It was sent back and came back well done. I can’t fault the staff, they tried just what was coming out of the kitchen was just poor

Nice food.. we had 4 various steak meals and all cooked correctly to our requirements and acceptable service.Only bad points for me were that they don't accept debit cards, credit cards, Google pay and don't serve tap water. Parking is an issue in this area as well.However saying all this it's not as bad as people make out.

Food portion was good and the food was served presentable and hot. They cram to many people into the restaurant which results into people and waiters keep bumping into you or your table while trying to eat. Toilet in constant use as there is only one so you have queue.

Great food! And everything came on time, service and staff are very good. Only downfall is they give no tap water, and the water there is ridiculously priced.
