NEVER EVER AGAIN!Honestly, this was the worst sushi in my life!Is more expensive than other sushi restaurants, but the taste and quality is not even close to sushi. Basically the sushi was made 3 days ago and served today… so if you expect to have some nice sushi, please avoid this place- it will disappoint you big time.

Went for my birthday this evening, I haven't been in almost 3 years to Yo sushi and was surprised at the complete change. We arrived at about 19.15, I asked if we could have a booth but i assume the empty one had been booked, so had to sit at the bar, at which i asked if i could sit away from the door on the other side because its cold and raining to be told 'no its already closed'.You order on your phone now, so if you're indecisive (like me) constantly going backwards and forwards between different sections to decide what to eat is a pain, paper menus here would be better. The menu has been massively reduced since I last went, its called yo SUSHI and the sushi choices are almost completely gone, what happened to the 'sharing' sushi plates where you have one whole roll of sushi with all the delicious toppings. At this point I almost left from pure disappointment but I remember the flavours being amazing. However the food lacked flavour, sushi was quite dry, falling apart, the rice was unseasoned and slightly undercooked. The Yo fries were nice though. It was 19.45 by the time we had already finished and the place closes at 9pm, but the staff started being loud with close down already. Stood next to us with a bucket of dirty dishes, throwing plates in, kitchen staff sweeping all the lids into the sink. I think staff forget that people eat out for an experience. When you spend £50 on picking plates, you at least expect to leave full and satisfied, I literally left regretting choosing there to eat (as I don't get out much nowadays) and went to eat something else afterwards so I was actually full.

We made a booking for 7:45pm, but on arrival were initially told the restaurant was full although it clearly wasn't. Upon showing proof of the booking we were seated, only to be told it was 'last orders' and to order everything we wanted at once. This would be fine but the website to order through didn't work initially, and after two attempts we had to make a manual order. Food arrived freshly cooked as soon as it was available, although we had to send the chilli squid back initially as it was burnt. First time we've ever been disappointed with a Yo! experience.

Hadn't been for 3 years. We made a note on the reservation that one of us was unable to sit on the high stools which was ignored but after requesting again to the staff they were able to accommodate our needs and let us have a booth.Whilst on the one hand it is a shame that the food isn't on the conveyor belt anymore, being able to order on my phone is actually better. It meant I was able to track my spending a little better and I ended up trying dishes that I otherwise probably wouldn't have paid any attention too.All the food was fresh and delicious, although the sushi took longer to arrive at our table. We also ordered some sushi to go afterwards and it was actually better quality than those that we had dining in.My only real 'complaint' is that it's very crowded at the door with people waiting, especially when it's really busy and it would be good to see a better system in place for this.

The conveyor belt didn't work. A little bit overpriced menu, but delicious. Staff is very nice.

Very friendly staff and good food. Fast and efficient service. My only issue was the staff kept asking to sign a review device.

Absolutely stunning food, I love going to Yo sushi. Having the food come to you via belt is a novelty that doesn't ware off.If you do go I highly recommend the katsu pumpkin, it is above and beyond my favourite thing on the menu

The food was mediocre. For example, we ordered the beef teriyaki. It had absolutely no flavor and tasted a bit burnt. The only saving grace were the Yo Fires. They were amazing. The environment felt clean and well maintained but the service felt slow. Everything seemed to take ages to get to us. Of course, we understand there is a bit of a shortage of staff right now which I am taking into account because I cannot fault the staffs professionalism. No one was moving slow or taking their time. I could see everyone was moving with purpose to provide the best service. However, when you go to a restaurant, you go for food and an experience. The flavor of the food wasn’t there, but the staffs work ethic was great, which is why I am only giving three stars. And Yo! should be grateful to their team for such a ‘high’ score.

Our absolute favourite place to go out for any occasion. Simple quick lunch. A simple dinner. Or to entertain friends and family, romantic meal day or night. It never disappoints! This is our first visit to Leicester branch. Previously been Cambridge and Norwich for our locals. If anything Leicester was even better! Staff, warm, friendly, inviting, charming, helpful and knowledgeable. Wife variety of drinks from Saki to beers. Non alcoholic beverages a plenty too.Menu, as ever. Vast. Varied and always delicious! Combines the perfect amount of sushi to cooked (in from my of you! Fresh!) Choices. Vegan or vegetarian have vast choices too.But for me. It the seafood and sushi. Always delivers. Can honestly say, in 12 years of going to YO!(sushi) I've never had a bad meal, a dish I hadn't liked or anything to complain about! And it's not like I visit once a year. Minimum once a month myself and my wife and friends and family attend. No where else I can say that about! Let alone somewhere I use so often!Don't ever change YO! Leicester YO sushi! Well be back VERY soon!
