Damon's in Lincoln

First time visiting after recommendation several months ago. Service was excellent, couldn't fault the waitress in any way. The food is expensive for this kind of basic food, so was expecting it to be well above average in taste and portion size. Ordered full rack of ribs which looked very similar to the cheap boxed ones in any supermarket. The bourban glaze was fine but again no different to many readily available in the supermarket. We also had a burger which was too salty for my partner to eat it all. Both meals had a disappointingly small portion of oven chips and peas. Couldn't fault coleslaw but neither could I praise it above the ordinary. Desert, £7.95 for a slice cake, was nice but had better for half that amount. I was really hoping for a better experience, but sadly it was well below even average for this kind of food and no where near value for money.

We tried the breakfast menu for the first time & our experience was actually really good.The restaurant was reasonably quiet.Our server was polite, happy & helpful. From ordering to arrival our food came pretty quickly & was well presented. Everything was perfectly cooked & tasted great!

Lovely staff, nice food, great place... but...small portions on the lunch menu were very expensive and poor value for money. It was a return visit after a long break. One plate with scampi looked almost empty with so few chips there was a large gap. It look as though they'd run short. A bit disappointed. We felt overcharged and underfed.

I was very disappointed with the meal, paid £24 for a £3 meal at best. We booked a table for two families of four and couldn't even split the bill, which is very strange or just to confuse you so please be warned and be sure to check the bill when it comes, I think there are so many better places to eat out than Damon's. For me it was very average food for top prices.

The coleslaw is just the best in the world, our server was great think his name was Luke! Excellent service. Only downfall is the prices are too high 😅

The meal was "OK" but very much over priced and not value for money. My big concern was there was very little distancing between tables. The tables were that close that you could easily touch the people behind and in front of you. Our server was very polite and courteous throughout.

A really nice place to eat. The building is round and they have a bar area in the middle of the building, separating two restaurants, so while you are waiting for your table to be ready, you can just have a drink. They have a good selection of dishes and everything was amazing.

Service was brilliant, and there was. Very brief wait from arriving to sitting at the table. The server was very helpful with my food intolerance (dairy) as the menu was very basic in terms of identifying allergens. There were no clear vegaterian or vegan options. The food we ordered was good. My partner's steak was cooked well and my ribs were well cooked, but there was a discrepancy between the amount of chat between mine and another table's order. There is a very limited number of side options, no salad or sweet corn options and it isn't always clear what comes as an automatic additions the the meal. E.g. the king prawn dish. Unfortunately, it want made clear on the menu that the signature dish, onion loaf, contained food allergy products.

Would have given 5 stars had it not been for the greeter, who said that she only had 3 servers and if we waited she would get to us in 10 or so minutes! Small point, but first impressions count, especially on our first visit. Our server was very nice, efficient and helpful, though. Food delicious and well presented. Will go again.

Absolutely brilliant food and great service to go with it , Steph served us all night and made us feel welcomed in a busy atmosphere. The food was exactly how we wanted it cooked , and was overall delicious 😋 we had a variety of steak , scampi , prawns pork and their famous ribs between two of us and tried a little of everything so can say with confidence it's all worth trying.
