Stags Head in Lincoln

Stopped here for something to eat after visiting the castle and having a nice walk around Lincoln. The member of staff who served us was fantastic great service and very friendly. The food was exceptional we both really enjoyed our meals I would certainly recommend a visit.

We booked to go here for my daughter's 25th birthday, simply because they offered a free birthday meal with a party of five or more! Unfortunately, her boyfriend was very unwell on the day, and couldn't join us ☹️ I really thought they would honour the free birthday meal under the circumstances, but they wouldn't entertain it, so we might have well have gone where we wanted to!! Saying that, the food and service were beautiful. Just a shame they couldn't even do a free drink or pudding for the birthday girl!! 😏

Really good attentive staff and good food. Only issue was that when we booked we thought we would be in the restaurant as per the website images. . On arrival we where shown a table adjoining the bar. We where told when numbers of customers where low they closed the restaurant. Not a very pleasant eating area with noise from the bar.Shame really.

Great food, service and prices - a nice find for a weekend family meal

Popped in for quick lunch. Food took a little while to come but it was great when it came. Nice setting and pleasant staff.

Good service, very helpful. Avoid the onion rings, greasy and made from the outer skin! Steak was very good, rest just ok.

Had a wonderful meal here, staff went above and beyond to make our date night special by making a little bouquet of flowers for our table! (Massive thankyou to the guy behind the bar with the hand tattoo - sorry I didnt catch your name!)

Complete full lipstick mark on wine glass...actually served to me..Told meal would be 15 to 20 mins...waited 35 mins chips full of fat and hard obviously cooked several times..scampi hard..I complained for chef to say he would cook. I asked for 1 meal to be refunded husband was told £5.00 could be refunded supposedly taken off to find when we looked on banking app we had fraudulently been charged another £14.90. Husband now having to make another trip to this awful place to sort out...avoid this place

Was nice and layout is good. Only downside was I enquired about booking an outside table for 8 and was told no bookings for outside but wouldnt be a problem as plenty of space. Turn up and sit in a group of 8 and get told to move our tables apart and then told we cant eat outside in a group of 8 but can eat in two groups of 4 (same thing? Still 8 people eating?)

Starters from specials board mine was the pork duo,belly & ham hock,it was lovely,although other half had the beetroot & parmesan gnocchi & although it tasted nice portion size was really small for £6 only potatoes & beetroot at the end of the day i felt guilty so gave him half of mine!
