Stokes High Bridge Cafe in Lincoln

We were outside looking at the menu a waiter come over touting for us to come inside and try the food. We accepted and another member of staff asked if were eating on the reply of yes we were sent upstairs to find a table. Sat waiting 15 minutes or so for someone to take our order which is fine. But for her to then come back and tell us that the kitchen is now closed is not acceptable. Set a time to close your kitchen and make all your staff aware of this time.

I rate this place along side Betty's in Harrogate. Had steak and mushroom pie, mash with green beans. Coffee was fresh with a cup of tea. The building is a bridge over the river. A must visit is my thoughts on Stokes.

Just had breakfast here. The downstairs is for lighter meals. However, staff were quick to notice my wife uses crutches and sorted us out a full menu. We were served by Charlotte who was absolutely lovely. A great start to our visit to Lincoln.

Went in Stokes High Bridge Cafe as this is oldest building in Lincoln and have quick lunch with tea as it was good.10/10

Great service in a charming period establishment. We ordered scampi, the soup of the day, and a roasted vegetables omelette. Our waitress Miriam was amazing. Highly recommended if you visit Lincoln.

Amazing Café! Friendly staff and cosy environment. Great food to go with it. Look up the history of the café and bridge for a wholesome experience. A must if visiting Lincoln.

We visited Stokes earlier today and were very impresses from start to finish.Customer service is clearly a priority, every member of staff knew exactly what they were doing. We were allocated a table upstairs and Sophie was absolutely amazing. She has a lovely, bubbly personality and her enthusiasm to deliver a first class service was evident throughout. The coffee was superb, the teacakes were hot, plenty of butter and a tasty treat for a mid morning snack. Overall this was a great experience which we both thoroughly enjoyed and there is absolutely no question that whenever we vist Lincoln we will definitely return.

The black and white cafe that is literally on the bridge in Lincoln High Street. It's a fine old building in the centre of Lincoln, beware though, the stairs are old and difficult to climb!Lovely service today by Miriam, who couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. Portion sizes do vary slightly, my Plum bread portion was just one slice. Great coffee, roasted locally. Overall, a pleasant place to visit. 😀

I've been looking forward to visiting Stokes since I first found out I'd be coming to Lincoln nearly 6 months ago. I was not disappointed! Lovely quiche, excellent tea, friendly staff, and the perfect cozy atmosphere!

Very nice old building! Very helpful and lovely staff which let you enjoy your afternoon tea. I would say reasonable price as well. I was more than happy to leave them a tip as they really deserve that.
