Table service was terrible, Most draught products were unavailable, first to order last to be served, order was sent to another table, then told that they had run out of beer that we ordered, no apologies from staff, when speaking to staff there knowledge of the product was very poor. also another couple sitting outside also left due to slow service, We did get refund, but will not go back. Could be a great place, with better knowledgeable & more enthusiastic staff.

Not very COVID friendly, no cleaning or clearing of tables. Insisted on App download for COVID and app for ordering but only 3 staff on duty operating door and serving. Definitely the worst place I’ve visited for feeling safe despite the insistence at the door.

Fast service, great customer service, good range of drinks. Main critisisms are that the ordering app isn't reliable and the food menu is almost non existant with only 1 flavour of crips available , everything else was out of stock.

Fantastic view if you get to sit on the boat, but that’s about the only thing great about the barge. The food menu is very limited, and some members of staff are extremely rude.the app was very temperamental and only worked a handful of times. Both nights we saw multiple people complain about the app however when we complained the staff told us there is no table service if the app does not work then there’s nothing they can do, yet others who had the same problem received direct table service.Further more some friends and I went to the barge on both a Friday and Saturday and had completely different experiences. On the Friday we shared a pizza and it was nice covered in mozzarella and cooked to perfection, whereas on the Saturday we received a pizza with hardly any mozzarella. After explaining to a member of staff we had eaten there the previous day and the pizza was covered in mozzarella so we were dissatisfied with only the middle half of the pizza being covered in mozzarella i was shocked to here the reply. The staff member questioned the reasoning behind our disappointment stating they had handmade the pizza themselves so they knew exactly how much cheese was on the pizza and even after my explanation the staff member demanded I show them the pizza. Once I showed it to them to the staff member they claimed the cheese was under the meat, I physically had to break the pizza in half to show nothing more than tomato covered bread. There was no apology or discussion, instead a sarcastic remark was the reply saying they can make another pizza however it would take a further 15 minutes, which I said was not a problem.Once the next pizza came out there was hardly any change at all the middle of the pizza being the only section which had mozzarella on it, the rest was just tomato covered bread just like before. We were very disappointed in the way this was handled and the attitudes of the staff members involved. We would not recommend the barge as nice place to visit and will not be returning.

The Barge is one of my favourite places in Lincoln! The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your visit special. The cocktail menu is very extensive, so there’s something to suit everyone! I haven’t had a bad cocktail here yet, they’re all so yummy. The decor is beautiful and there’s a nice outdoor area for you to sit on the waterfront. I couldn’t recommend more.

My partner and I very much enjoyed our first visit here. Admittedly it isn't a cheap place to drink, but the cocktail prices are pretty standard for the area if you ignore the 2-for-1 cocktail offers that some Lincoln bars are running. Nicely laid out inside and the new owners have done a good job of the refurbishment. The bar staff clearly knew their stuff and were fun, friendly and, most importantly, made us some great tasting drinks.

We had a great time when we visited The Barge over Christmas. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and the cocktail menu is really good: it has classics like the Old Fashioned and White Russians, which they make really well, and lots of modern ones too. They also have good offers on too. Will definitely be going again.

The barge is a new highlight in a cocktail bar scene,in the city of lincoln, that is already pretty competitive. Though busy the staff were welcoming and friendly. The prices are what you would expect from a cocktail bar but the quality of the product exceeded my expectations. Would recommend booking a table during the weekend.

If you’re going for cocktails I would avoid this place! Went with my girlfriend and had about 4 drinks between us and every single one was of really poor quality. They just taste like someone has poured them out of a fruit juice carton and you will be hard pressed to detect any alcohol in them whatsoever. To add insult to injury the cocktails aren’t cheap. They are just under the £10 mark (reasonable if they were good quality) but unlike most places don’t have any offers (2 for 1 etc). It’s a shame because the venue itself is really nice and it’s added a much needed new bar to the Brayford. Could be good if they got someone who knew what he was doing to make a cocktail menu for them.

We stopped to have lunch here after a boat trip on the Brayford Belle. My wife and I had the chef's own chicken curry, served with chips, and our son had a cheese and onion baguette with chips. It was quite busy, so we had about a 30 minutes wait for the food, but it was very nice when it arrived. The curry was tasty, and made with chicken off the bone, and had a home cooked taste. No complaints, apart from perhaps the portions could have been a little more generous and the pricing is a little high. Nice atmosphere too.
