A favourite with my friends and I, amazing staff, good selection on tap with some guest appearances too! We often go for the amazing quiz held every 2nd Wednesday of the month and it's a great bit of fun. They even let you bring in your own takeaway (just not on the quiz night). Great little watering hole!

Had a fantastic experience at the Birdcage yesterday evening. Great band and atmosphere, we also had the pleasure of meeting the landlord who was really friendly and welcoming, as were the rest of the staff. We loved everything about this place and just wish we'd found it earlier! Will certainly be recommending this pub.

Went in on Wednesday the 15th of June with a friend and the lady behind the bar was super friendly and more than happy to help. Tried the Pina Colada Lilley's cider which was gorgeous. Highly, highly recommend the Birdcage.

Great local pub. I have quite happily strolled in alone and not felt out of place. The owners make everyone feel welcome. Staff are friendly. Very reasonably priced. Lots of different quiz nights/ band nights etc. Good sized beer garden for the summer. Dogs welcome - treats and water supplied for the fluff bags.

A very friendly local pub! They have a good selection of beers, hold lots of fun nights such as quiz's, open mic nights, and live bands!They are dog friendly if the dog is on a lead, and they only serve food on specific dates so be sure to check ahead of time.

Excellent selection of beers including Theakston Mild. Really lovely decor, proper busy local with load of events. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Its like sitting in your own living room. Dog friendly. Loads of history. Decent drinks. What more could one ask for?

Amazing place to go for dinner or just drinks with friends.Menu offers great tasting and handsome portions of vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes to satisfy everyones taste.The selection of ales, ciders and wines was reasonably priced and of a good standard. It was great to be able to purchase vegan friendly ale in a bar!Large beer garden with plenty of seating and shelter. Lovely atmosphere as there are bedding plants and hanging baskets in ever space possible.The service was great, the bartender explained the covid rules to us and continued the evening with a smile. They offered to adjust the speaker volume as we were sat underneath but this was not necersary the music was banging.All in all a very comforting and pleasant pub. Healthy portions packed with flavour. Great selection of alcohol and fantastic service. 10/10 will be going back again!

What a hidden gem this place is have ordered take out from here 2 weeks running now and it has not disappointed!The chicken shawama is delicious and there is plenty of it but the show stopper for me was the Korean Chicken literally wow I dont think I have eaten anything so tasty in all my life!We'll be back next week without a doubt!

First visit to this pub, heard good reviews about it. They had 3 flat ciders on. On the Friday night they had karaoke on and for the very first time I actually enjoyed it. Pretty much every singer was really good.I visited this pub 4 times over the long weekend, lovely welcoming staff. Nice beer garden. Highly recommended.I’ve not have chance to get the food but that’s meant to be very good I hear.I will be back for sure.Well done

Great atmosphere for live music from when I've been here before. Just been out in the beer garden for the first time today and it's lovely out here. Been served a beautiful pint and there's even a beautiful bed of flowers and visits from little birds. Calming. Lovely.
