The Elite Fish & Chip Restaurant in Lincoln

Friendly staff, a large choice of meals and reasonable prices too. An ok choice of beers as well, nothing craft but some real ale in bottles (nothing on keg or cask). But then you come for the fish and chips, not the beer. Large and spacious car park.

My parents planned to attend to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary. I hijacked their plans and contacted The owner. We discussed some options for me to put some money on account.The staff were brilliant and went above and beyond. My parents were extremely grateful.Thank you very much.Stuart

Just fancied some fish and chips for lunch when out for the day with the missus. Really nice and fresh with crispy batter! Would highly recommend! Delicious!

Probably one of the worst customer services I have ever experienced. Before even entering fully through the door to order was greeted with a sharp and aggressive “want any fish” not even a hello or time to look at the menu. Even once we ordered no greeting or friendly chatter even though we was the only ones there. When preparing food they forgot the order and got it wrong and even did the simplest of things wrong for example putting vinegar on the chips after just being told not to put any. Felt rushed and didn’t seem they wanted any customers even though they wasn’t near to closing

As it should be… which is hard to find these days. Upon arrival they asked if I was having fish or sausage or anything which was fried fresh while I was waiting in the que. Calm environment for both the customers and workers by the looks of it. Very relaxing and easy visit and food was proper chipshop standard. VERY SATISFIED

First of all I want to point out that I don't know the owner and secondly that I've been eating at this exceptional chippy for roughly 8 years now. To name a chippy "Elite" you really have to deliver and this place is just exceptional, truly exceptional! I've eaten fish and chips here (Triton Road) probably around 150 times now maybe more and the quality, consistency and service is just exceptional it really is. I've also been to the very ambient Bailgate restaurant and takeaway again absolutely exceptional. The fish Elite serves is ultra fresh, pure white and just falls apart as it should. It really is astonishingly good. The batter is heavenly light but full of flavour and doesn't overpower the fish in any way whatsoever. It is the perfect batter for the perfect fish. The chips are always piping hot as is the fish and every time it's cooked to order. You will be asked as you enter the takeaway if you want any fish putting in. There's more often than not a queue of people for the takeaway at Triton Road which is no bad thing and not surprising at all. They use proper vinegar and cook in Beef dripping and honestly you will leave here feeling the world is a better place. You endorphins will start running around you feel very satisfied and upbeat. The fish and chips here are just exceptional. I'm not on commission but forget Murgatroyds or The Seashell for me this is the benchmark which I judge all other chip shops on. No question in my mind at all this is either Ronaldo or Messi of chip shops! Absolutely exceptional and at worst the second best chip shop most probably in the world! Tremendous quality, consistency and value too. In fact I'd be happy to pay more they are that good. Coach companies should be putting on trips to bring their parties here the restaurant is a good size and they'd love it as will you. No doubt it will be just as much of an attraction as the Cathedral at some point it's that good. Super friendly staff and just that word again quality it's just exceptional really you'll love it! What to have? You won't go wrong with anything on the menu, but for me a large Cod with a portion of garden peas and regular chips is a meal fit for a King, Queen or you and me. Just exceptional and definitely one of the best two chippies in the country bar none. Amazing!!!

I was taken here by my friend. He said it was great fish and chips. I had a large cod chips and a coke it was £15.65.My friend had a rugular size Hadock, chips and peas.It was nice in the top 15% of fish a d chips I have ate. Portions I thought were on the small side in respect to fish. Quality again good in top 15% but had better as well.The service was good. Will I go back, possibly but on the expensive side. You can definitely get better value meals for sure. Not sure if they ever do deals I noted most customers when I was there were over 60 about 80% who h is fine so am I, lol.

Lovely food. The portions are Huge. I had cod chips and mushy peas. The fish was beautiful with crispy batter. The staff are friendly, very attentive. Service was quick. The restaurant is clean and cosy. I visited here on a su day teatime. It wasn't full but had quite a few other customers. Would definitely visit again.

Great buzzing atmosphere, busy shop. Big selection of fish for a take away. Batter was tasty and crispy. Chips was fluffy and soft....As we ate straight away...One fish was. A little oily... Not had enough time to drain excess oil. Other than that 5 star!

I visit every month, on this occasion like some other times everything is cooked to perfection, crispy hold it in your hand battered fish with chips, plain large sausage and tried the onion rings today.Sat outside on the benches provided. Il return because of the quality today. Very happy.
