Superb staff, lovely Sunday dinner and great beer.

We heard they serve great mussels there so booked table for 3 on Friday night to hear that... they run out of mussels.... food was good and good selection of beer.

Due to Covid our eating out trips are now Rare so we were really looking forward to this meal having experianced some lovely food here previously (though not been for at least over a year) Sorry to say it was not good !The Onion rings arrived burnt to a crisp.I had specifically requested the gravey on side it arrived everything covered in it, the whole plate swimming in gravy - waitress took back - returned it with fresh pot & veg same Pie they had tried to take gravey off but by this time the pastry had saturate through and was Soggy! This the very reason I requested gravey on side. Husbands CRISPY Belly Pork...... Wasn't! It was Rubbery and inedible. The manager was understanding and nice offered us something else but as we had booked very early when less people about we didn't want to prolong our stay.She did not charge for the food, which we would not have paid for anyway (we did eat the 2nd lot of onion rings as we were starving) We paid for our wine.In all our years (we're pretty old now) can honestly say this first birthday meal to consist of only a bowl of onion rings to share and btl wine.Very Dissapointing and Spoiled my birthday.No response to our experience / feedback - it's now 21/01/ 22..... Astounding!!!! Do Management care? Are they interested in their customers experience????? Come on guys - Get a Grip! Do You want us back? Make the effort! Please!

Lovely service, friendly staff, warm and welcoming. Great selection of wintery dishes and a great choice of vegan/plant based dishes too that didn't feel like a last minute addition.

Good food and reasonably priced lovely environment feels very upmarket and the member of staff who greeted us and took our order was lovely. The best fish and chips I've ever had from a pub they were up there with the standards of a fish and chip shop, I was just unfortunate that I got a couple of bones. I would highly recommend a visit if your in the area.

Love that place, we use to go every month. Good value for money even if a bit more expensive than other pub, but food and ingredients are much more fresh. The rib eye steak is amazing as well as the mussels. My wife love their home made onion rings.

Very good quality Sunday roast dinner. After some initial teething issues a few months ago the online ordering/scanning system has become very robust, had no problem this time around or the last few times. I've eaten here around 10 times now, tried the pies and burgers as well as the roast dinners and am still yet to have a disappointing meal. Plenty of outdoor seating too.
