This is a really nice stay. Not your usual 'hotel' experience, but it isn't a hotel..it's a B&B where you're left in peace - and that's precious! Staff are polite and helpful without being obtrusive. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Close to the Cathedral and all the uphill touristy stuff. Fresh juice, milk, water, biscuits on your room daily.Perfect for a getaway where you just want to do your own thing. Will be back.

Highly recommended. Warm welcome. Rooms spotless and clean. Everything provided in the rooms. Continental breakfast only at the lodge. Cooked breakfast served locally, the hotel arrange the table and time for you. Definitely will visit again

Very clean, service was the best. Views where lovely. Very bespoke, breakfast was lovely, would definitely stay there again. Car park could do with some block paving as not good when it's muddy, otherwise was very happy with my stay. Good value for money.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and is very close to the cathedral and the Castle. The reception team were lovely and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The room was lovely and very clean with a comfortable bed and a fridge which contained water, orange juice and fresh milk. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries and croissant, jam yogurt were provided. Would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

This small hotel is an absolute gem of a find. We stayed here as a birthday present and wow we have to go back again and again. It sits just behind the Cathedral near the top of the hill, so less of a climb. It was once a church and has been made into a very tasteful hotel. The bed in the room was so comfortable. In the room fridge was jugs of water, milk and orange juice.

Lovely old property with a warm and friendly welcome. The room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and the location is amazing Highly recommended. Limited breakfast but an arrangement with nearby Bells Tea Room made up for the lack of a hotel kitchen.

Such a lovely place to stay. Rooms were really nice, especially with the windows to give it character. Added extras such as milk, orange juice, Nespresso machine and croissants for breakfast were a welcome surprise. Will be booking again.

Great location, less than a minute walk to steep hill. Excellent access to the cathedral and castle as well as the great business that line both the hill and the old town. Steep Hill Wines is great for a bottle of something and extremely helpful staff. Even loaned us a bottle opener, now thats what you call service!! The room was lovely and the staff friendly and extremely helpful and went out of their way to accommodate requests and with general enquiries. They were also very thoughtful and left us an anniversary card and a rose covered bed which was magical and just topped an already excellent experience!

Absolutely unique. Lovely, clean, & very comfy bed. Plenty of tea, coffee facilities, which was great to come back to after a busy day. Bedroom decor was lovely. Bedroom not very big, but adequate enough.
