Sunday lunch. Beef so tough you couldn’t chew it! Parsnips hard! Just awful. Only one meal refunded and that was because I had to ask to see a manager

Order extras in burgers, no extras came tried to say it already had extras in, returns 15 minutes later with same cold hurger and 1 piece of fresh cooked bacon. Turned rude after I also returned that

I'm not a lover of sports pubs but on Sunday there's live music which is a nice change. Really friendly staff and the beers good too.

Nice enough inside, and a good range of drinks at reasonable prices. The service was a little slow and didn’t feel like the bar staff were prioritising service over the other task they had, but once settled with a drink it was a pleasant place and clean throughout.

Myself and my mum visited today for lunch and drinks. We really enjoyed our meals and the service we received from Jack & Joe was excellent nothing was too much trouble for them. Looking forward to visiting again

Visited today for some lunch with my Mum whilst out shopping. Pub looked clean and tidy, the barman was very friendly and attentive when ordering. The food arrived quickly, hot and very tasty. Would highly recommend if you are in the area looking for a bite to eat whilst out shopping like we were :)

Called in today for lunch whilst out shopping, pub was quite busy but still a few empty tables. Decided on the 2 for 9.99 menu as was with the mother in law. Both picked the gammon with chips and egg, sat down knowing we had a good one an a hour hours before our parking ticket ran out. 50 minutes later and no food had appeared so got the attention of the waiter to ask where the food was as time was slipping away, was told our food was out next. Food arrived and looked great, nice portion of chips, lovely fried egg on the gammon. The only good thing on the plate was the nice hot egg...chips were cold, peas were rock hard and gammon was dry. Called the waiter over and he took the plate away so it could be replaced....by now mother in law had eaten all of hers and time was still slipping away....20minutes later replacement food still hadn't arrived. Went to the bar to complain again and was given my money back, my food arrived as I was putting my coat on as we only had 10 minutes to get back to the car. As a chef myself I would've thought that if a dish had been sent back because it was cold the entire dish would've been replaced ASAP....Will not be back ☹☹

Found this place for a quick last minute drink before returning to our hotel while visiting lincoln. Relatively clean place with friendly staff....seems popular with locals right up till closing time.....checked out the food menu while finishing our drinks and will probably return to check that out at some point

We decided since William Foster was in a side road off the High St, that it'd make a good place to stop for lunch whilst on a Christmas shopping trip in Lincoln. It's a large pub split into 2 main areas, with a really good choice of beers & meals, and plenty of space between tables. The staff were pleasant & helpful, just as well, as unfortunately we were informed that the hand battered cod & chips we ordered had run out, so had to sort out changing the order. In the end we ordered: Double BBQ Chicken topped with Bacon & Cheese (Hunter's Chicken), Double Burger the 'Bacon Classic', and I had the Mixed Grill. We all had drinks, and the bill came to just under £33, which considering what a less enjoyable meal in McD's or BK would cost, is great value. Food arrived within about 10-15 minutes, and was not only nicely presented (see my pictures), but well cooked too, especially my medium rare steak, perfect!The only real disappointment was the grilled tomato, seared, but not cooked. I wasn't expecting a £9.99 Mixed Grill to be as good as this, but a good selection, decent quality and very tasty. The other 2 meals got a big thumbs up too, so all good, and left us ready to hit the shops again.As for the pub, I'd imagine it does get very busy judging by how many TV's were around for the sports, and the pool tables, but a pleasant, not rowdy pub experience.
