281 Restaurant with Rooms in Mansfield

Very nice place we were here for a wake and was well looked after .There was plenty of food and we were asked more than twice if everything was OK.From the outside it wasn't appealing but once inside totally different lovely..

Very nice hotel. Staff friendly and meals great. My round table have made this place our official meeting place. Recommend for food and drinks and general. Never stayed here so can’t comment.

My sister booked 281 for my surprise baby shower and I have to say i was over the moon. The function room and bar area are both modern and clean. The afternoon tea we had was delicious, with free flowing tea and coffee.They also catered for my friend who is gluten intolerant, her afternoon tea looked just as lovely as ours did.Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, they were all happy and helpful.Thank you to everyone at 281 we will defently be back. 😁

We booked the function room for a large family meal. From a few years ago people said it was poor. However I had a great meal and thought the place was well laid out. Parking is excellent round back. Drinks were a bit pricey.

We attended a friend's wedding reception here. The food and service was brilliant, the staff were friendly and helpful. My partner, Byron and myself want to give a special mention to Karen, a manager at the hotel who gave us a lift back to our hotel. We were struggling to get a taxi and Karen came to our rescue. Many thanks again, we really appreciated your kind gesture. 🙂

Food was simply amazing, best I've had in a long while. The rooms are nice though the double bed was a little small. Very friendly and helpful staff also.

Excellent select of food very well maintained, clean great decor. Good for functions or a break for a few day. Small bar open to non guests.

Had our wedding reception here and the staff were wonderful and supportive, even going out their way to right napkins in the right shade of teal, it's the little touches that make it stand out. The room was set up exactly how I had pictured it and the food was amazing! Our family still comment on how good it was. We have been back for mother day lunch which was also amazing food!

Absolutly Fantastic, we all went here for my father's wake, they had a brilliant spread, I dropped off some photo's so the staff could place them around the room before the guests arrived, the receptionist was a great help and it was a pleasure talking to her.Anyone thinking about hiring a function room out from 281 I'd highly recommend you do so as my experience was a very excellent one.

A little tired in parts but friendly....Well cooked food from a fairly narrow and traditional British selection. Rooms well sized. Very comfy bed. Continental and cooked breakfast menu. Large car park
