Like almost all Greggs, it's does what it does pretty well. Good prices and fresh food even if a lot of it isn't the healthiest. Some indoor and outdoor seating at the Melton branch. Also, like almost all other Greggs, the staff tend to be a bit glum. Overall the Primark of the cafe world.

Friendly staff, hot vegan food and great prices. My vegan sausage breakfast bap was divine.

Stock levels are always low with long queues. I wish it went back to being the bakers oven. 2 stars given and not one because of their lovely vegan sausage roll, which is either undercooked or they haven't put more in, so you have to wait for 10 minutes. When they get it right though it is very good.

Awful. Staff are rude, I've had to resort to either shouting or miming what I want and even then I usually have to send it back to get what I actually ordered, prices seem to vary on a daily basis. The one star in this review is simply because I couldn't give zero. Avoid.

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to the staff of Greggs in Melton Mowbray. My mother who suffers with Vascular Dementia was in a bit of a tizz as she only had her bank card and the card machine wasn't working - long story short on her return to Greggs she was still a bit flustered so they sat her down gave her a cup of coffee and a pasty and did not charge her. The staff at Greggs Melton are amazing and I can't thank them enough for looking after my mother.

If your fat, wear tracksuits all week, love the smell of pastry and call your kids Chantal Demi and Tyson then this place is for you.In all seriousness they don't just do pastys these days and are trying to spread their appeal beyond the chav and its working. You can get various breakfast offerings, nice coffee as well as sandwiches and salads, they even do healthy options now too. The old favourite pasty and sweet treats are still there, but the offering really has increased the appeal. The have the new look cafe area, where you can sit and gave a coffee with friends, grab you lunch or perhaps have a romantic pasty for two, with a nice vintage fizzy drink, followed by London Cheesecake and finished off with a coffee course. They also have automatic doors, although they may, in reality be for the larger bottoms of the obesity scooter owners, who pull in for a pasty, doughnut and coke refill, several times a day, in the same way Lewis Hamilton gets his tyres changed
