Ocean Blue Fish Bar in Melton

Have used this chip shop every week for over a year ordering on the app and always had fantastic service. However on this occasion I got their to find the item I had ordered was sold to the previous customer despite her colleagues who are always excellent trying to stop her but instead she expected me to wait for them to be cooked again absolutely terrible service and will not be returning which is a shame as prior to this I would have rated 5*.

Incredibly upset tonight.  Having been a regular customer for years I called this evening (the first time ever) after receiving a much smaller portion of cheesey chips than usual.  There was nothing wrong with them which I'd made clear, just a third less.  I thought I'd call to see if their portion sizes had changed as this usually feeds the three of us and this evening was only enough for 2.  I also said that my pie was cold.  They kindly offered to send more chips and a pie.  When the delivery driver arrived he asked for the chips back, which I explained my children had eaten as there was nothing wrong with them, to which he replied 'you've had a free meal then'!  I offerred to give him the pie I'd cut into that was cold to which he refused.  I called the shop to complain about the way I was spoken to and the owner said he was within his rights to ask for the food back, so I had to explain again that I hadn't complained about the chips!  I'm so upset and completely insulted. I won't be going back there again.

Mega portions and extensive menu range. Not just fish and chips.

Ordered a kebab meal and a chicken kebab meal, both meals were normal kebab, it didn't even taste right and soon went cold, not impressed.

Ocean Blue serve the best doners and kebabs in Melton Mowbray. The delivey service is quick. Food quality and hygiene is on very high standards. Highly recommended!

Ocean Blue is the best Fish and Chip shop in Melton Mowbray for taste, hygiene, service and value and I have never been disappointed as fish and chips are always delicious and freshly cooked and service is friendly and efficient.

Ok, here we go. We normally love this place. Normally good service, fresh great tasting food and we really enjoy it. Tonight ...4.4.19.... shocking! We were kept waiting 20 minutes. 5 people came in after us and got their food before us. We had ordered a decent amount but so had the others. We thought we were waiting for fresh potato fritters to be made, but when we finally got served after what felt like forever, they told us they didn't have any. Why couldn't we have been told this at first? They didn't seem sympathetic at all. They put on far too much salt, next to no vinegar and my friend didn't even get offered any at all. My fiance was served a small chips in paper and wasn't given the option of a tray. This is no good when you can't eat in the restaurant and need to eat in your car. Anyway, we will not be going back. The chips were soft as s**t , undercooked and I wouldn't have fed the food we were served to my dog. The service wasn't good and we were kept waiting for no reason. Fair enough if the food had been being cooked, but it was clear that ours was not fresh. Not impressed.

Just ordered Fish'n'Chips and Kebabs for 17 Hungry Skateboarders to be delivered to the Skatepark - Order was correct and arrived when they said it would. No Complaints about the food! Well chuffed - Well done!
