When informed that the beer we'd been served appeared to have gone off, the comment made by the barmaid to my husband was..... "It must be that the barrel is coming to an end" no apology, no refund. Beer left on table. Told later that it had been quaffed by duo with no taste buds. We won't be going again.

I didn't stay I was using a downstairs reception room for an interview. The room was nice and the view was really good too, I did walk in the garden and that was nice, I'll definitely be back for a summer evening drink.

Nice hotel with a lovely garden. Staff very friendly. Very good full English breakfast. Four poster room very nice. Thought a few places around the hotel were looking a bit tired and I need of a lick of paint, but otherwise a very enjoyable night away.

Lovely hotel, with a brilliant garden and views. Value for money second to none vs others in the area. Food and service (throughout stay) were exceptional. Very friendly staff and always willing to cater for anything, such as my bizarre dietary requirements!

Stayed August 21 stayed with 2 small dogs and had a good night. Other people there with dogs too making the stay more relaxing. Lovely garden area and next to a long bridle way down to the river with a meadow so that the dogs could stretch their legs after a long drive. Staff were friendly and helpful, had a nice meal in the area out of the way so that the dogs could stay with us rather than being left in the room. The car park was gated along with a small courtyard area outside our room so we could let the dogs out at 6am when they wanted a break and not have to worry about them escaping etc. We would recommend to all with or without dogs.

Very friendly welcome. We stopped in a lovely room with a four poster bed and views of the gardens. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, on the negative side we were unable to get hot water in the morning.

My husband and I stayed here recently for one night. It was the first night away with our German Shepherd 5 month old pup. It was lovely from the initial booking experience to our check out. We were given a dog friendly room in a quiet corner of the property where it felt very private with little noise to attract our puppy's attention. We arrived mid afternoon and enjoyed the fabulous views the outside seating area provided, so many places to sit and good quality seating. Our puppy was made to feel very welcome with his water bowl and the added touch of a throw for him in the room. We dined at the hotel and they set up a table for us in the green room where we had first class private dining experience with our puppy. They asked what time we would like breakfast and set the room up for us the next day. This has been a wonderful break and we would recommend to anyone. The staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, the menu cannot find any faulted - loved it we will definitely return again and again next time with extended family- Thank you most pleasurable experience great hotel in a lovely setting.

Jenny and her team at Sysonby always supply a warm friendly welcome when I arrive. I stay there a number of times each month whilst working and over the last year, seeing a friendly face in a covid safe environment has been important. Warm, comfortable, clean and well run. I would recommend anyone looking for somewhere to relax and stay the night, to consider staying here. The grounds and views are fantastic, and the food is always of good quality with generous portions.I regularly use this venue for meetings, training events etc and they always deliver.Thank you for everything you do.
