Fantastic village pub stumbled across in the middle of a walk. Friendly, good beers and plenty inside eating. Have to return to try out this aspect

Good beer. Anna and Alan very convivial hosts and excellent 'we don't do food on a Monday but can knock you up a beef sandwich'! Wide range of gins too. Accommodation too.

Visited for Sunday lunch. Great selection of ales, and the food was fantastic. Home cooked and plentiful. Excellent value - I’d highly recommend a visit!

We had a few drinks and dinner here, there was a friendly atmosphere and the staff were helpful and polite. Anna was really welcoming and kind. The portions were really big and the food tasted great, I would definitely recommend the honeycomb crunch sundae! I'll definitely be visiting again!

Traditional village inn offering food and real ales. Patio/garden area and car park to rear - staff were efficient and helpful.

Always a warm welcome. Good food and good beer in a village local. Many enjoyable times here!

Last year we dropped in for Sunday lunch after driving around for about an hour looking for a good pub; this was the one, excellent food and beer and a welcome for the dogs. May 2018 saw us back in the same area on a sunny Bank Holiday, so we just had to pay another visit for a Sunday roast. Superb food and beer once again. We ate in the rear courtyard with the dogs and they were even treated to a turkey treat themselves! Well worth a visit if you are within 20 miles or so.

Lovely pub. Friendly atmosphere. Room we had booked was tastefully set out. The comfiest bed ever. Dinner was amazing. The cooked breakfast before we left was freshly made. Thank you to our hosts Anna and Alan for making it a very enjoyable stay. William and Anne Ashby

Good selection of real ale. Home made food very nice sheltered beer garden to the rear I was drinking grain store in here a local (ish) brewer . Seating at the front overlooks a B road with minimal traffic. Great place. Motorbike nights Wednesday of every month but can't remember which one.
