Had the best steak last that I've had in years. Service was great. Definitely will be back and my go to for steak in the future. Can't recommend enough.

·

Great little pub with the friendliest of people in Branston although the bar is a little bit too small on a Friday night cutting short the session

·

Enjoyed a lunch recently . Friendly staff and customers. We'll worth a visit.

·

Fabulous food and service, definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful little village pub

Very disappointed; We attended a late afternoon booking prior to attending a timed festival entry. We enjoyed a good beer whilst waiting for our meal, but the order took an hour to arrive which made us late for the timed entry. The food cost £14 for each 'festive chicken burger', £8 for each starter of fishcakes and £10 for a children's fish goujons which was not listed or priced on the menu. The food arrived as stated on the menu and so we raised no immediate complaint but upon receipt of the bill, we realised that £70 was not representative of the food we received. The chicken looked and tasted like frozen breast from a multi pack. The stuffing was just packet stuffing. The bacon, cheap and over cooked. The fishcakes were mostly potato. The fish goujons were tasteless. Ultimately, the pub advertises 'highest quality / locally sourced' and we felt the food met neither of these descriptions and I raised this with the managers by email the following day, reporting our disappointment. The reply confirmed that we had waited for about an hour, but they felt that we had opportunity to raise our criticism with the waiting staff at the time. They did not refute my analysis of the constituent parts of the food, nor elaborate on how it met the advertising, nor justify the cost of the child's food.I feel that the food did not meet our expectations.

Food was amazing. Staff were fantastic and friendly. They had a choice of cask ales for all those who enjoy these. The wood open fire was lovely on a crisp autumn evening.

Absolutely amazing! A real country pub set in a beautiful village. We had not planned to stop ,just simply driving through ,saw The Wheel Inn, it was so appealing with an outdoor covered area. The pub and restaurant small but perfectly formed, cosy, full of character plus inviting and the staff and locals so friendly and helpful. We looked at the menu and will certainly be going back for a meal as we literally just dropped in for for light refreshments. What a find!

Can't believe we haven't visited The Wheel before! We booked for the seafood night and the food was amazing. I had the swordfish steak and it was the best I've ever had! The food quality is second to none.We have visited Rick Stein's seafood restaurant in Padstow and The Wheel beat Mr Stein hands down 😁.We were so impressed with the food and customer service that we have booked Sunday lunch.

Lovely little pub, gorgeous food! We ordered from the outdoor menu, our food came in takeaways boxes but it was fantastic. Would definitely return.
