The Windmill Inn in Melton

Booked a week or so ahead as I knew this gem would be busy for Easter. Delicious as always, the prawn starter and beef main were exceptional, classic cooking well executed with a little difference to make you go wow. So refreshing for the kids options (simple menu or adapted mains) to be delivered at the same quality as the adults, my son declared it "the best burger in the world!!". Great service, great wine, and the place has obviously had a little revamp outside too, the true star of the Vale.

Lovely atmosphere. Only stopped for drinks and nibbles off the bar menu, but great food. Lovely staff, including our resident American. Highly recommended.

I first came here on the recommendation of a work colleague & haven’t looked back since! The atmosphere is lovely; the tables are spaced far enough away from each other that you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of one another. The service has always been amazing & the food is delicious. My personal faves are the baked Camembert and Windmill Burger with Stilton 😍Would definitely recommend as a place to come

An absolute example of a much loved village pub. The staff are knowledgeable and have that home grown genuine service.The food is of a truly higher standard with flavour being their front and back step.You just will NOT be disappointed...The house burger alone makes it very hard to chose something else off the well well thought out menu!Congratulations to the whole team and pub winner it should be!!

Regular visitors to this lovely friendly relaxed pub. We love the food, great beer selection and best of all they're really helpful with my food intolerance, makes coming out for a meal much more enjoyable.

Discovered the pub in December and have since visited twice once for lunch during the week and the other for Sunday lunch. Good menu choices and food quality with an excellent atmosphere and very reasonable prices.

I recommend this local bub- restaurant a great place after visiting the castle. It's something really delicious for everyone, great burgers, great beef sandwiches, good local beer

It was our first visit to the windmill, but it certainly won’t be our last. What a fantastic evening meal we had last night. Wonderful service, lovely pleasant staff and outstanding food. When something is this good, apart from “brilliant”, I’m not sure what more I could add. Many thanks for a great night.

Fantastic pub...Great food..very warm welcome from locals and staff. Defo be back there again.

Have been wanting to visit here for some time. As a fan of the tv series Auf Wiedersehen Pet I wanted to see The Barley Mow. Great food and great staff made our visit very enjoyable, we will definitely be back soon.
