Fresh Fresh - home bakes authentic home made sandwiches, cakes, pasties etc etc. like stepping back in time to when they did things properly! YOU MUST VISIT NOW!!!

Well made bakery goods with good quality ingredients and sooo tasty. Good value for money. Really friendly easy going staff. Hygiene is obviously a priority. For those of you who are diabetic, their wholemeal bread is better than most for slow sugar release.

Love this local bakery! Hilary and Les are always welcoming and bake the most delicious breads - different every time I visit! Also bake nostalgic pastries and cakes which is a treat, my go to fave place!

We visited today. First time. Lovely freshly made up cheese and ham salad cobs. Sausage rolls superb. Great prices. The lady and man were so lovely and friendly. Really enjoyed it here. Thank you both so much. We will be back. Ian and Donna.

An absolutely fantastic local bakery making gorgeous breads of all flavours and scrumptious cakes and pastriesThey do a great service on both take away and eat in, breakfast, sandwiches etc and great coffee. I would highly recommend this bakery and the friendly owners for whom nothing is too much trouble. They even deliver locally too

This is a most remarkable bakers . Nothing is too much trouble for Hilary and Les. They make me Rye bread to order ( the only place I've found in Newark ) and recently I also ordered Mediteraen bread for my daughter which she was thrilled with .Many thanks to you both keep up the excellent work.

I was disgusted at the behaviour of the owners of this shop today and I encourage anyone with children NOT to give them your business. After being at the cinema next door with my little boy and a good friend and her little girl my son walked up and down the steps outside the bakery and another boy then did the same. The lady baker came out of the bakery and started shouting at the other young boy that he couldn’t do that and it was private property and to get away. The young boy was crying and his dad was carrying a toddler and was clearly in shock. It was very upsetting. I will never take my son anywhere near there again. And if you don’t want them to shout at you don’t use their steps unless you intend to buy something...!

Good bread and treats from a small bakery and tea room. The selection of breads varies from day to day, but invariably has something good. Usually open Tuesday to Saturday, the breads are also available at several local markets.
