Bella Vita in Newark and Sherwood

Beautiful authentic Italian food, we’ve been looking for a proper Italian restaurant as got tired of the generic chains and found a hidden gem here. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and the tomato & chilli garlic bread, loved all 3 especially the linguine vongole. Thank you for a beautiful lunch ❤️

That take away was very far removed from anything Italian... Highly dissatisfiedTasteless cannelloni, cheap ingredients and it felt like coming out of a jar... nevermind the cardboard garlic pizza bread...

Wonderful food although service was a little slow. Thoroughly enjoyed it there.

This place is a little jem, tucked away, word of mouth is how u get to hear about this restaurant. Went on New year's Eve, don't go expecting high gloss modern finishes it's old fashioned but that's what adds to its charm. The service was amazing I ordered lobster Thermidor and it was fantastic, my other half had steak just as amazing. Summer time it's beautiful to sit outside by the slow running river ear amazing food and just while away the time. If u haven't booked u should give it a go.

With ten minutes notice, the staff at Bella Vita welcomed 30 of us to dine at lunchtime today when we had an emergency! The staff were brilliant - the serving staff were friendly and so accommodating, everything was absolutely delicious and looked really impressive (a brilliant specials menu), and portion sizes were very generous. Despite our numbers everything came as ordered, at the same time and hot - amazing organisation. The staff also sang happy birthday for one of our guests! Would 100% recommend, thank you so much Bella Vita!

This restaurant has one of the best settings you can ask for,tables on the edge of the river on a sunny day are amazing.Amedoes the owner and his hole family and team are wonderful, the food is traditional and a great price. The lunch time menu is great value for money,a starter and a main for £12.50 👌

Had a very tasty lunch here today. We ate outside by the river and it was beautiful. Plenty of tables inside and out. Lots of choice on the menu and found it difficult to choose. Portion size is very good for the price, so much so neither my partner or I felt like an evening meal tonight. The staff are very friendly and polite. Really impressed and have booked a table for a couple of weeks when we have family visiting

Very nice place, greeted by excellent staff. Very attentive, pleasant and a good laugh. Regularly saw the chef coming out to see how meals are, bringing food out and clearing tables and seemed to genuinely want to know how the food was and not just asking because they feel it's expected. The food was fantastic. Every mouth full of something new was followed my an mmmmmm or oh my! Couldn't fault anything at all with the entire visit. Good selection of well priced wines as well which is nice to see as most Italian restaurants tend to go a bit overboard on the drinks pricing. Selection of food is very good as well, more range than I was expecting! Really cannot rate this place enough.
