Bottle & Glass in Newark and Sherwood

We had booked in advance a table for 6 as we had friends over from Chester for Sunday dinner, the food was amazing, we had the rare beef and had the most amazing Sticky Toffee banana pudding which sounds weird but it’s the best I have tasted for a long while, our service was great and was well looked after, sorry forgot her name but she did a great job considering how busy it was, the menu is great as it has something for everyone but not to big so you know the food is fresh and good quality, we also have a lovely meal in the week

Great place with a good menu and selection of drinks.Staff are friendly and helpfulWe went for lunch on Friday, had two courses and couldn't fit in a sweet. The fish and chips were good, chips were skin on which I personally am not too keen on but the fish was very good quality.We will definitely visit again, possibly in an evening to check out the atmosphere

Recommend by friends and was not disappointed.Booked a table but when we arrived table not suitable so immediately shown to another table with a lovely view.Served by several people all very friendly but Harriott was exceptional even though the pup was extremely busy and Harriott was new to the job.The food was amazing roast beef melted in you mouth and the Yorkshire Pudding was a meal in its self.Unfortunately too full for pudding.Very reasonable in price.Definitely recommend and will be returning.

Lovely find, Fire burning, nice and cosy dog's 🐕welcome. My husband said it was a great pint. Staff friendly and food looked good although a little pricey. Went back the next day for a drink with friends.

First visited the Bottle and Glass in 2019 when in The area camping for the 1940's festival and had a lovely lunchtime snack and drink. Went back for a meal last night and what a fabulous experience. Booking highly advised at the weekend. I would describe it as a mix between fantastic local boozer and gastro pub. Lovely reception, great team and gorgeous dining experience. No hesitation to recommend and looking forward to revisiting in the future

This is a really top class public house serving an excellent range of beverages and superb quality food.I also believe that you can tell if a pub is good or not by its popularity among the local people as well as those who travel a distance to visit it, and in that respect the Bottle and Glass gives the game away as being well above just good.Whilst I have only visited this pub in daylight hours, I am told that it is superb in the evening when it takes a further step forward by serving top quality food.Definitely worth a visit.

Great surroundings and looked after by a friendly helpful team. Very tasty food that is reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend and will visit again in the future. Thanks for a lovely meal!

Can't fault the staff, food or atmosphere. Absolutely lovely village pub with local ale on draught, some great gin/cocktail options and awesome food. Will be coming back and brining the dogs next time because they're also dog friendly.
