Cafe Rouge in Newark and Sherwood

Food took an age to be served. Offered desert menu before main courses arrived. Main courses consisted of burnt salmon, burn and dry chicken on child’s meal and overcooked chicken on adults meal.

Great staff and lovely food. Although the restaurant was rammed due to Easter school holidays we had a lovely meal with yummy food and great service from a staff (our waitress Darcy) who cared and worked their backsides off to make sure we had a great time 💪 💪

Elle made our night there, was absolutely fantastic and so friendly. Food was great, if the manager reads this… Elle needs a bonus!! She’s fantastic and can really see the passion she has to work there

Good meeting point. No real ale at all just lagers which was a little disappointing. Staff are great and worth a cash tip every time.

Had a lovely meal here food was tasty and good quality debbie our waitress was outstanding the best service we have had on our stay she split the children's meal into 2 for all these courses so friendly and helpful she should be the person to train all waiting staff as some of the other eateries weren't as good at service

Great little resteaunt, food was decent but a limited menu for what I expected. Staff were great and food very tasty.

Cocktails at cafe rouge.Service was a little slow as we wanted to sit outside and had to ask / mention a few times about menus and sitting outside ending up going in and out to remind them.Wide range of drinks and food to order. Would recommend booking if a big group or wanted a meal.Toilets. Outdoor seating. Tight space for pushchair and wheelchairs but seating is available

We were really looking forward to eating here however would not go again. Starters were ok. Main meals were inconsistent in size the burger was fine but the risotto was small and the duck lacked flavour. The trio of desserts was tiny.

Steak wasn't cooked properly, chefs should know what there doing for the price they charge. Portion size was meager. Plus the order was wrong. Avoid this restaurant

We came over a week ago and the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Hollie the manager and Diane the server were really accommodating with our daughter and the breakfast was fantastic. It is just a shame that they have limited spaces due to staff shortages, but we know it isn't the fault of the staff that are present! Many thanks for your help.
