China City in Newark and Sherwood

I love Indian but my wife fancied a Chinese so chose China City on justeat. Ordered meals that were described as hot and spicy. However meals that arrived were very bland and forgettable. I can guarantee that no spice of any decent quality or strength got anywhere near this meal Not worth the money at all. It may be my bias to spicy Indian food, but If you like bland, run of the mill, inoffensive, boring meals then you probably be OK. It arrived on time and was edible, that's as much praise as I can give it.

Lovely food, ready in no time.

I am quite new to using this service. The meals I have ordered have been beautiful. The service excellent. I am confused with pricing. Almost everything I have ordered has been a £1.00 dearer than on the menu and then bagging and delivery. I can understand delivery and bagging. Could you explain the difference in pricing please.

online order not delivered. When I tried to contact the restaurant, the man working there shouted at me that I certainly did not open the door. Trying to explain that I was at home all the time, he hung up the phone. I advise against this place

overall I am happy with this restaurant but I would like to share 1 issue unfortunately each time the food differs a bit from each other the previous time when I ordered the duck two portions 1 was far from the other one very radically unfortunately one portion of the larger half was not fit to eat well to ensure the quality because, unfortunately, there are other restaurants that will be happy to use my services. I phoned to check where our food was 55mins after I placed the order, one person said it was with the driver, one said they hadn't started cooking it. They then decided it hadn't been started yet, and it was due to bad traffic around town, I know the traffic had cleared by them as I drove home through town myself not long before I ordered. Food arrived 1.5hrs after I placed the order.The food itself was OK, although the seafood in the seafood rice was poor quality so won't order that again.

Had special curry , pancake rolls , rice ,the curry sauce was really weak(watered down), there were more meat in the pancake rolls than the curry itself!! Been polite giving 2 stars really , not good

One of the very best Chinese take aways I've had. The order was ready on time (to collect) and the staff were lovely. The food was absolutely delicious. It'll be my regular Chinese take away from now on.

I loved this takeaway for long time but unfortunately this time it was big disappointment there was really little of sauce, sweet & sour sauce taste like ketchup, chicken was really dry :/ at least soup was tasty;)

Unfortunately we ordered from this takeaway and had a terrible service, the woman who delivered our food came back to the house an hour later to say we had under paid her by £20!!!!!! ????? We were so taken aback that we paid the extra money,,we calculated our expenses of the evening and discovered that we were then £20 out of pocket. Upon phoning China City we got no joy from them. They were unhelpful and unapologetic , I'd recommend anyone using this takeaway to be wary of a female delivery driver and please watch your money.Definitely not using again, food was also substandard.Disappointed is an understatement and ruined a lovely evening.
