Great food and beer and very friendly staff and well worth a visit

Visited this pub just for afternoon drinks with friends. Staff very friendly and plenty of choice for drinks.

Highly recommended. Nice rooms. Nice staff and a great location. The food is also very tasty. On my next stay in Edwinstowe, I will definitely choose this accommodation again.

Rooms were pretty bad ;From aka 50s style heating (That you couldn't. turn on )to old style metal frame windows to a shared bathroom and old blood stained bedspread .Also had to ask rather pointedly about having my room cleaned (Although they made my bed but never wiped surfaces .Badly organised staff led by a non-commital manager was the cause of the unprofessional service mainly .Shame as it had a lot of potential but left a night early as Couldn't face another night there

Nice, neat, clean and welcoming. Very comfy beds. Breakfast was excellent and tasty. Room and ensuite bathroom was clean and tidy. Interesting architecture and features. Fresh towels, beds made up, coffee and tea replenished each day. Staff were polite and helpful.

Really small room with poor facilities. Very noisy heating/water in the middle of the night.Tiny TV.Large bore heating pipes in room, only way to cool down was to open the window, not ideal when overlooking the car park.Breakfast starts at 0800On the positive: tiny bed was comfy, and the shower was hot.Food ok.

I am incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied. I ordered food for 6 of us, and once it had arrived they brought one wrong meal out. They then came back out to say that the meal we ordered was no longer available, however one of our meals could be shared between two if we were happy with that, to which we replied no. At the point of asking for a refund on one meal and receiving the other, we waited another 15 minutes at which the meal never arrived. Everybody else had finished so we asked to cancel the missing meal, at which they said it was on its way. Not at any point did we receive an apology, free drink nor an explanation to why we were sat with our family, whilst they were eating, with nothing in front of us. To make matters worse, we were totally ignored. When dinner was finished (those that had dinner) and after desserts, the table was not cleared.

Just went for a breakfast with my mum. Had such a delicious breakfast I'll be going back and recommending to friends and family. Jane the breakfast chef has good food coming out the kitchen. Has a good food variety with refreshments for while you wait for your order. Was served much faster that other restaurants. Highly reccoment now that Jane the breakfast chef is there. And what a bargain was a reduction due to a loyalty card. Might go for breakfast tomorrow.

I had the fig and goats cheese for starter. It was nice but my main; salmon and pasta was dire and tasteless. My friend had the steak which was dry and tasteless as well. Dessert was hit and miss. My Brownie was frozen, rock solid.The sorbet that came with it was refreshing. We ordered 3 cheesecakes in total but one tasted funny as if it had been exposed to heat which had caused the cream cheese to curdle. I will come back to the Dukeries for a drink if I'm in the area as the staff were pleasent but I will not eat here again.
