Green Olive in Newark and Sherwood

Great and attentive staff, food is always good and very tasty. Definitely my go to place in town.

We visited today and were impressed by the menu…until the food arrived. Ordered two “chicken fillet burgers with fries”. First thought they had forgot to put the chicken in both, until we say a TINY slice of chicken mixed with the lettuce and masses of burger sauce (not specified on menu, and also after being asked what sauce wanted and both of us said Mayo) I could not eat mine for this reason, and my partner ate the thin slice of chicken and we paid and left. Will not be returning, went to the food van across the square and got 2 toasties for £3.50 which were delicious compared to the £22 for two “fillet burgers” at green olive. Will not be returning.

Great place to eat or just have a drink. Staff always friendly, nothing too much trouble. Greek coffee really good but today I had a cannabis peppermint tea!

Owner is a great guy, staff excellent and varied menu with some very different choices, from just tea coffee to a full meal. Outdoor seats a treat in the sunshine watching the marketplace.

A great place for a quick bite or a proper meal. Great choice of meals, snacks, desserts and drinks for reasonable prices however not so many vegan options offered. I definitely recommend flavoured teas and sandwiches. The food was tasty, done quickly. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, helpful. Despite I came less than an hour before closing I was served and not rushed. Plenty of tables upstairs in case if the weather is not great, nice interior. Great location. I will definitely be back.

Greek influenced cafe bar. Decent sized menu including Greek puddings and wraps as well as familiar snacks. Snug, tasty and good service

Stopped here for coffee and food. But the vegan food range here was quite small so didn't end up ordering food unfortunately. But I had a Greek coffee, which I had never tried before and was pleasantly surprised, did enjoy it and it was served with water, I don't know if that was intentional. The Greek coffee has a lot of coffee grounds at the bottom, which I believe is normal for it. Also ordered a flat white with oat milk which was also good quality. The service here was very good, has a lovely lady serving us. We sat inside but wished we were given the option of outside because it is quite cramped inside. But overall good experience
