Table booked for 1pm on Saturday 26th March. Order for food placed at 1.20pm. Now at 2.30pm food has still not arrived. One excuse after another and the pub is not busy at all. This has spoilt what was a birthday celebration. With the exception of the poor barmaid who tried her best for us, the remaining staff not in the slightest bit interested. Will never book here again. Horrendous experience.

A disappointing return to what was once an enjoyable pub.30mins to come & take our order after sitting down & then an hour & 20mins to make 2 salads, 5 sandwiches, a chicken sizzler & a kids meal. The place wasn't even busy & when the food did finally arrive it was sub standard.Understaffed, disorganised & full of excuses. If they struggle to serve a light lunch to a table of 8 adults & a child good luck to anyone attending here for a mother's day meal today.Your ambition truly out weighs your ability as an establishment.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in a pub. Sat down at 1pm. Food arrived 2.50pm. Appalling service. Food was cold, bread had been defrosted and was soggy in the centre. Pub was understaffed. Spoilt a birthday celebration. Had to argue for compensation on the bill. Strongly advise you avoid the disappointment of this place.

Really nice food and delightful service. Unfortunately we had a very long wait for our food, but it was worth it.

Really enjoyed it, brilliant service from the two girls. The chips are fantastic, best chips iv tasted in a long time.

Amazing food. I would not hesitate going back. The only thing that stops this pub from being great is the slow service and staff that don't really pay attention 100% of time.Prices are good and there is a good selection of food and drink.

Food and drink were both excellent, although the beer selection was a little thin. If you want a range of beers, better look elsewhere. Upon walking in, we seemed to be ignored until the barmaid finished her chat. No acknowledgement of us at all. There was nobody else being served so a little frosty for a reception. She was friendly, but it just felt like I was on a charm offensive to get any meaningful response from her. Customer service improvement would really add a lot, but maybe they do for the locals. As a visitor, I felt it took too much effort on my part to feel welcome.

Disaster at Christmas Day.10 adults and 2 childrenAll meals pre ordered and paid for. Got to our table 10 mins before time 2:00pm. Not told exactly where to sit. Not enough chairs set up for our booked table. Waited 20 mins to order a drink and another 15 for them to arrive. 9 Starters came after 50 mins and the 10th 20 minutes later. After another 35 mins we cleared our table ourselves and took the starters away trying to make something happen ? Waited approximately 90 minutes and still no main course. Asked what was happening and told be there in 15 minutes, 20 minutes later told another 10 minutes. Gave up after a while and asked to see the manager. The manager wouldn't come out of the kitchen and left the bad news to the poor staff. Fortunately agreed to a full refund but it has absolutely ruined Christmas Day as we had no lunch and no where to get any from. Obviously the manager didn't feel the need to speak to his customers and we left extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Obviously won't be going back

Food was really good, Michael Buble singer was really good. The old woman with short grey hair behind the bar, not so good. I booked ahead and spoke to a man, then when I turned up this woman said "Yeah he didn't ask how many of you were coming" (2 of us). Then acted like we'd really put her out and made out like she was doing us a huge favour at her own expense. It was so rude, the pub was only half full and it made us feel uncomfortable. Then a young girl took the order of the table next to us and grey hair lady turned up 5 minutes later to take their order. They said it'd already been done and she responded with "oh well I won't bother next time" and walked off. One of the other group laughed and asked her friend how she knew the grey haired lady (assuming from the response it must have been banter). But she just looked really annoyed and said "I don't..."All the other staff were fine. It said Linda on the receipt but can't be sure it was her. Needs a serious talking to about customer service or should be removed from customer facing duties.
