Kelham Hall in Newark and Sherwood

We had our wedding here on 5th March, fantastic venue and very well organised. Ideal for weddings of 100 people or less. We had fireworks in the grounds and the venue comes with 12 bedrooms so family can enjoy the day without worrying about getting home. Very well ran and excellent staff, thanks for making our day go so smoothly.

Visited here for a business meeting today and had a wonderful experience and a fantastic afternoon tea! Thank you to Claire and the kitchen team! 😀

Our dream wedding day came true!Claire at Kelham House exceeded every expectation right from the get go.We made our first enquiry in January 2020 having never visited before & soon after attended an open day/wedding fare where we go to have a good look around & sample some delicious canapés. We were sold instantly!Kelham house is absolutely stunning & so romantic inside & out. It has beautiful gardens, fantastic guest accommodation & a menu to die for. It is so clean, well kept & everything was done to the highest of standards, including service from all staff members. Even when we had 24 guests join us for breakfast the following morning everything was absolutely perfect. From that first meeting, right up to the morning after the wedding the standard remained impeccable the entire time. All staff were so polite, friendly & very attentive to all our guests. We felt very welcome & it really lifted everyone’s spirits after such a difficult 16 months.Our dream was to marry outside, so when we saw the beautiful bandstand in the garden my heart was set on it. Of course it chucked it down the morning of the wedding & stopped 5 minutes before the ceremony was due to begin. Claire did everything she could to make it work for us & every staff member rushed outside to dry off the chairs for our guests. Claire went above and beyond so many times to make a lot of things perfect for us & we are forever grateful.We felt very privileged to get married at a stunning venue with amazing staff, spectacular food, surrounded by our family & friends. Best of all with my 9 year old house bunny Mr Pops by my side. I could never thank Kelham enough for that!We have had so many fantastic compliments from everyone who came & we really did have the best day! We highly recommend Kelham House for their outstanding service, hard work & dedication for customer satisfaction. We arranged an afternoon tea in the garden view room for 55 guests in June 2021. The food sandwiches, deserts, hot drinks and soft drinks were all on point,. All our guests really enjoyed our time here.We received such a great service from start to end. The staff were all so professional, and would promptly respond to any email or phone enquires, the manager Jon-paul was lovely and showed us around the property on short notice.Highly highly recommend this venue for any of your events. Thankyou so much to everyone at the venue that made our day special.

My son is getting married here next year and we went for a meeting to discuss arrangements. I was immediately struck by the homely and relaxed atmosphere it didn't feel like somewhere I had never visited before. Very clean and tidy and the few staff we met we're very friendly. I'm really looking forward to our stay here and the wedding. I will update this post afterwards.
