Lovely place! Stopped in for morning coffee and homemade pastries! Lovely atmosphere and great service! Food was delicious including the chocolate tart I had as takeaway for later! Looking forward to returning soon for lunch or dinner. Would highly recommend!

If you can't get to France to eat, this place is the best way to sample a true French Bistro experience.

I had a wonderful lunch here. The food was on point, the service was friendly and excellent - if you have the opportunity to visit, and you are lucky enough to get a table, I recommend it!

The owners were very welcoming and this quaint little French bistro in the heart of Southwell does some of the best food around!

Really enjoyed La Parisienne. Old school French style and themed bistro. Booking is recommended as quite busy at lunch times. Well cooked food and all tastes catered for by very friendly courteous staff. Prices were reasonable although the half caraffe of house white was a little pricey at £15. No specific parking for the bistro, but large car park situated a short walk away which is free for the first 2 hours. Only minor criticism is no outdoor seating.

Excellent warming food, fantastic vegan menu with good choice to supplement the superb regular menu. Friendly husband and wife team. Cozy, clean and quirky venue. The French onion soup was especially good.

A party of four, booked through Groupon for a Monday lunch, three courses and a glass of wine. Absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable, courteous and attentive staff. The food was exceptional, all three courses. We left feeling satiated but not bloated. A little gem. Will definitely go again.

I have never in my life received such awful customer service in my whole life, and having read some of the other reviews it seems I am not the only person. So what happened.... I purchased a Groupon voucher for my parents anniversary for use at the restaurant. When my parents tried to book the meal they were told in no uncertain terms that there was no availability at all for the next 6 months, the voucher having an expiry date of only 4 months. The attitude of the owner brought my mother to tears, at which point she called me, as I had purchased the voucher to see if I could help.Confident there must have be a way to resolve the issue I called the restaurant to see what could be done. I spoke to the owner and can honestly say I have never received such a barrage of abuse, she even claimed that she did not have even one available slot for anything, even if I wasn't booking with a voucher for the next 6 months!!! Now if that restaurant really was that successful what on earth are they doing advertising on Groupon anyway?!The owner then went on to say she couldn't believe I was arguing with her on the anniversary of her Mother's passing....like that is relevant, and as if I would even know that! She even claimed that she was being flexible after 10 minutes of giving me abuse to say if she ever had a cancellation she would let me know!!Given my experience of the owner, I would not want to ever take the cancellation now even if there was one. If this is the kind of treatment customers receive before they even arrive, I dread to think what happens to customers in the restaurant, and given her disgusting and insulting attitude I would not want anyone else to ever experience what I have today. All I can say is avoid at all costs, pretty sure you'll be sorry if you don't.

Booked a meal here via Groupon, as a way of trying it out before potentially booking something rather grand for a family party. One day before we were due to visit I was informed that the restaurant is 'no longer taking Groupon bookings', so they cancelled it! Pretty unimpressed and won't be giving them a second chance.
