I went here for my birthday and a couple of other times. The food was lovely and the staff friendly.

Great staff, they where really really busy but took time to get us snack and not send out hungry. 5+ from us. Beautifully kept pub very clean, helpful service. Please book ahead to avoid disappointment

Had a super Mother's day meal today, friendly staff,tasty beef,comps to the chef . Hadn't been for long time so we'll be back again.

Have always been happy with food and welcome however, booked a table to celebrate my daughters birthday and clearly made sure they knew I was bringing my small dog - on arrival it was clear this was a problem as this had not been noted I felt totally unwelcome right from the start the woman who I assume was the manager spotted I had a birthday cake and quickly said it was a £10 charge for bringing out with 6 serviettes and lighting the candles - later she then proceeded to clear the table and remove the water making it clear she wanted us gone (there were others in the pub) had it not been for the staff who attended our table the whole experience would have been awful. (Footnote we normally order a pudding even though we have a cake so they missed out)

Last minute reservation and couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely independent pub restaurant, Great food from a small but good menu. Will definitely return

Sunday lunch, just turned up and was seated immediately by the most friendly and pleasant staff. The menu is varied and interesting, The food is the best, very tasty and plentiful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Nearly a full House when we arrived. Luckily there was a table for us. They explained that they were very busy, but we did not mind waiting. Excellent service and food.I had a starter of ribs, bread and butter pudding for dessert. Hubby had fish and chips and Berry fruit crumble for his dessert. All very good.

What an incredible meal! The female chef produced the most exquisite food. My other half said it was the best soup he’d ever had, my sons veggie meal was incredible and he’s coming back with his partner as he was so impressed. Even the teenage stepson thoroughly enjoyed his handmade burger and chips followed by mixed fruit crumble. Risotto was spot on with beetroot and goats cheese. Nicest meal we have had for a long time and loved the attention to details with the Halloween decor, huge real pumpkins and tiny pumpkin ornaments. Someone has taken real pride in the pubs appearance. The young staff were very attentive and showed a maturity beyond their years with spot on customer service. We will most certainly be back! Probably one of the best pub meals we’ve ever had.

Lovely pub with a wonderful garden. Fit for a great pint and bite to eat.Only four stars as had to wait a while.....Though trust me when I say, the fish n Chips is the best you will ever have!
