New King Wah in Newark and Sherwood

This place is going down hill. Asked for drink on arrival 20 min later decided to turn up (we was the only ones in) service was awful no welcome or not even a smile. Chicken was slimey and under cooked!!! I was in bed all the next day sick!!! If h want a day off work the next day get yourself hear!!! Or avoid tike the plague!!! Prawn crackers was ok tho

Stumbled across this restaurant...what a gem. Fantastic food good atmosphere very busy. Love it.

Great food Poor Service. !!Family meal last nightWhile we can’t fault the food or the servers personally there is clearly a need for some retraining as we spent far to long waiting between courses not once were we asked if everything was okAlso waited over 30 mins to have table cleared we would have stayed for dessert and coffee but the lack of services spoiled our experience.We won’t return unless service standards improvePity as food very good.

Poor service from the outset. Despite arriving for an early evening booking we were placed on a table near the toilets rather than one near the window. We had to constantly ask for service rather than be approached and whilst the girls serving were all very polite, they did spend a lot of time standing together talking and were not being supervised by the Manager in any way.Food was good as always but we will think twice before returning

Food was good as always, service was appalling. Waited 25 mins to be even asked if we wanted a drink, another table of 4 was seated after us and then asked before us for a drinks order. We did comment but unfortunately the young lady was too inexperienced to give us a decent explanation/sorry for this experience. Never mind will still come back for takeaway as it is the best Chinese food in the area.

First visit for 4 years as moved out of the area. This used to be a top class restaurant but is now obviously in need of urgent work to bring it back to standard. The food was good but the staff were surly and inexperienced and were not particularly welcoming.I staff member had to be reminded by me about fade covering and the service was very slow and not attentive in the least.The decor is in need of upgrading and staff allowed customers to wander through the restaurant without face coverings- disappointing- don't go there!!!
