Stray's in Newark and Sherwood

Mellow Mat was lovely. The Banoffee latte is sweetness in a cup and tastes great. £12 for 3 drinks and a cake, very reasonable. Lovely outdoor seating too

It's a nice place, nice atmosphere, plenty of seating. We were a bit disappointed to find that 2 of the 3 meals we wanted weren't available which is why our mark is not as high as it could be. In their defence it was a busy weekend but all the same that was our experience on the day.

I've been visiting Stray's from time to time. I like this place. Unique, charming climate with some tables in places separated from others. So you can feel like at home. Tasty breakfasts and good strong coffee. Last time ordered breakfast consisting of Benedict eggs topped with bacon and wholemeal bread. To be honest bacon was too much hard and lost its taste. Maybe spent too much time on frying pan. But coffee and green tea perfect as usually. This morning ordered Benedict eggs breakfast again. See the pictures

Found this place on visit to Newark. Doesn't look very big from outside but it's s proper tardis with lots of rooms and quite a large outside area. Only had coffee and cakes, which were amazing. We thought the prices of the food on the menu were very good value and liked the fact that you could have smaller portions on some of the options. Only reason for 4 marking is that we waited 20 minutes for our coffee and cakes to arrive. Would go back and highly recommended.

Paid a visit for mum's birthday. Staff always very friendly, excellent food! When visiting Newark Strays is always my go to for nice a lunch, cake and coffee.

Much more expansive that it seems from the outside, plenty of seating even on busy days.Wide variety of syrups to add to drinks, actual flavourful brands too.The drinks in general are higher quality than competitors.The cakes were lovely and standard price for a cafe, but the dirty fries were brilliant. Crisp fries with pulled pork in a tangy barbecue sauce.

Lovely cafe and a great choice of cakes, coffees and food. Friendly staff and great customer service. I have to say their Hot Chocolate is superb and outstanding!!!!

Came in on Tuesday about 1030 and ordered a bacon roll and a breakfast burrito. The burrito was absolutely delicious and so was the bacon roll and the coffee, according to my dad. Would definitely recommend the burrito.

Just remember, when you go up to order, remember your table number…Had really good coffee and sandwiches here. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff is great. If they took your order at the table, it would be well worth 5 stars. As it was, I went up to order and hadn’t realised there was a table number to remember.Will certainly go back again.

I've always enjoyed visiting Stray's in the past (before covid )& today was no different. Its just a case of finding a free table(can get busy @times) in the many different seating areas then placing your order at the till along with the number of the chosen table,payment is taken by card only which I must admit isn't my preferred option at times ! . I did find the Staff at the till to be very pleasant as always & the table service was excellent .My soft drinks order of Orange juice & bumbleberry juice was served quickly along with chilled drinking glasses .The food order was a cheese salad sandwich with Twice fried chunky chips side order,soon followed which was very nice indeed.A wonderful all round experience & I do recommend a visit here whether it's just for a drink & a nice piece of cake or bite to eat .
