The Bistro at Edwinstowe in Newark and Sherwood

Took my partner for a bite to eat on a Saturday night to start celebrations of her 40th birthday .All I can say what a lovely evening we had .The food was spot on and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.This place isn’t a big place and is quite rustic in its decor but has a relaxing chilled out atmosphere.It is very reasonably priced and the service for me was just right ,not rushed or to slow .They also put candles on our desserts and took time to sing happy birthday to my partner .The tapas menu isn’t massive which is a good thing and they had a specials board as well .All in all I’d recommend here .Support this small business as these places are getting rare these days as big corporations and franchise restaurants can’t match the personal eating experience of this little gem 👍

Just been there this evening and had mixed meat sharer platter and 3 tapas between two of us, really good food and a reasonable price too, highly recommended.

Beautiful little place in Edwinstowe near the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre. Absolutely charming inside with a very friendly owner/manager and her mother providing great service. The real stars though were the cakes. Freshly made and quite stunning. I had the fruit cake with brandy cream - it was fantastic. Highly recommended if you are going to the Visitor Centre - it's no more than 10 minutes walk away (probably less).

Service was lovely ans food was fab! Such great decor and a hidden gem! My friend and I throughly enjoyed and would recommend! Will be back! Xx

We were a group of 10 ladies who were staying at centreparcs. We came to celebrate my daughters hen party. The service here is amazing and the food ....well its just so yummy. Good job I don't live near because I'd be here every day. Thank u for giving my girl an amazing time. From the very 1st email you have been amazing, balloons on the table were so special. Can not fault.thos place at all

Very good friendly service. We sat outside and had hot chocolate and chocolate fudge cake. The cake was too sweet for my tastes, but our eyes were bigger than our bellies!

Not very authentic. Cheap decor. Tinned dessert. Not much different to my own dishes. Great service though

Me and my friends came here late on a Sunday. The kitchen was closing but the staff stil offered us some things they were able to make. Very polite and friendly staff, food was great. Will definitely come back some time!

I have visited the Càfe on several occasions, for tapas, coffee and cake and for breakfast. Each time the service was attentive and the lovely staff look after you extremely well. The food is always tasty, beautifully presented and fresh.The breakfast is the best I've had anywhere. I had the vegetarian breakfast and my partner had the English breakfast, both were fantastic, everything on the plate looked and tasted amazing. The care and attention to the preparation of the food was evident.The selection of cakes is good and there is always something different to choose when you visit, you can get cake to go if you want to.The Càfe has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with unique decor.I would recommend this Càfe, whether it's just for a coffee or something more substantial, you won't be disappointed.The Càfe is small so I would advise you book for lunch and dinner. Especially during Covid 19 restrictions.Looking forward to the lockdown being over so we visit again.
