The Final Whistle in Newark and Sherwood

Probably the best drinkers pub that I have ever been to.Fantastic selection of well-kept beers, with knowledgeable staff to guide you.All set in a tasteful railway themed location (railway terminus).

What a great little pub. The courtyard is awesome! ...railway themed. Drop in and enjoy, you won't be disappointed.

A great pub, wonderful staff, extensive selection of really well kept beer and on the Sunday of our visit there was a line up of talented musicians performing in the yard.

A really great place for a beer.

Went there this afternoon as every Friday. Always drink Tiger. Always very good. Today a very sour taste thought it was end of the barrel. Brought this to the attention of the bar staff who were completely indiferent to the issue. As a result took the beer back to the bar because we couldn’t drink it, and ordered Bass and paid yet again. The Tiger was poured down the sink. Couldn’t believe that they didn’t change it!!. Because it wasn’t good. I was surprised as I am a regular customer with no previous problems.

What a lovely, lovely pub! Great atmosphere, a tempting array of beers (I saw afterwards it was a CAMERA pub, so no surprise there!). Lovely open fire going in the bar, too.

We were lucky enough to drop by when the team was receiving Newark CAMRA pub of the year and cider pub of the year and boy, do they deserve it. Beautifully kept ales and such friendly warm service. Impressive space too, high ceilings and a feeling of ancient grandeur

Fantastic put with great staff. Harrison is lovely and always helps us choose a new beer every week to try and has yet to be wrong! Highly recommended. Warm atmosphere often with live music or comedy show, large outdoor seating and garden area, dogs welcome

This is a twee little pub found on the outskirts of Southwell. If, like me, you like pubs with a bit of old fashioned character then this is the place for you. It has an old railway theme which is rather fun. Award winning for its range of cask real ales and ciders, it's a beer drinkers paradise. It does food but it's on the basic side but fresh and fully acceptable. Give it a try!
