The Grove Inn in Newark and Sherwood

Staff were pleasant. Football on TV in the corner. Local pub. Food was OK - Guinness was OK too! Not much to get excited about. We found two other local pubs that didn't serve food on a Sunday so ended up at the Grove. Wouldn't rush back out of choice but it served a purpose.

Great service and price. (The steak unfortunately was a bit like an old boot and I had to request a sharp steak knife, However for the price of the mixed grill I sucked it up). I'd definitely go there again.

Went with a friend on their recommendations absolutely AMAZING 45 yrs ago last time i went in 😂😂 sneaky school run the food and staff faultless found out they got 2 live bands playing to raise money this coming saturday . Would highly recommend it for a tummy delight only thing stopping 5 stars is they dont sell my Guinness....stella was as it should be though....check it out 🙄😎😍

I have reviewed the Grove before but I thought it deserved an update the food we had was fantastic the atmosphere great and the prices awesome you really can't get better for a local pub, great job all round.

Had a snack which was nice and the service was excellent menu was limited because there was a problem with the gas cooker but will visit again

The four of us called in for food on the way back from town. Service with a smile, a great pint and great value food, I'm sure we'll be back soon

Went for a meal with friends. Food was good but the jacket potato I ordered was very dry.They were kind enough to mix some of the orders.Table was too close to the wall so a little uncomfortable. Moved the table but it then rocked about so had to move it back.Staff very polite though.

Well the last time I gave a review on this place was approximately a year ago, so I thought we would try it again after the lockdown, well needles to say our food was excellent, very tasty and very well priced, this place is an absolute gem on the door step and most certainly well worth a try, this time we tried the scampi and a Mega Mixed Grill excellent 👌 and the service was just as good highly recommended.

Small car park. Sign up to email for offers. Nice food and deals. Beer prices OK. Most food seems to be cooked freshly to order.
