The Harrow Inn in Newark and Sherwood

The staff were kind of rude,got the orders wrong as he was taking more than one order at the same time.

Had a fab Saturday night with family, live entertainment which was great. Liking the Harrow, land lord is friendly and a nice guy. Give it a go, especially a Saturday.

Used to be an amazing pub back in the day great food decently priced drinks, I remember as a kid running around there kids themed park while the adults sat in the garden, now though its a let down and wouldn't catch me in there.

Management and staff working hard under the circumstances trying to put a bit of normality back in to our lives. Excellent that they are trying to promote live music too. We'll done The Harrow.

Simple, welcoming, honest pub. Aims to be family friendly. All day food from a restricted menu is good value English pub grub fare cooked from the freezer. No awards for it, but perfectly adequate and satisfying. A couple of local ales on tap were cool and in good condition.

Shame. I read reviews and was really excited about coming here.The meals took over an hour... when the place was not busy. A few locals at the bar.Our food eventually came out. Chips were dirty brown like the fat had not been changed.Was very disappointed . Hope you get a new cook and some more staff.

I thought that the signs of welcome to a family run pub was a good sign but this experience was sadly short of the expectations this brought. I wanted to eat and to be fair the liver, onions mash and gravy were good but the pint of Doombar to accompany was cloudy and sour. I asked for a replacement and this was done but the new pint was no better.The barman, who was my only point of contact, determinedly did no check back on the meal otherwise he could have tried again with the pint but by the time I had finished my food I left leaving the seasoned lager drinkers and him to themselves.To summarise your pipes need cleaning or you are not turning over the Doombar quickly enough for it not to go off. A waste of my £4 and a result of me never returning for a meal again. Your service left the same sour taste as your beer. You obviously have no real pride in your pub or what it serves.

Dropped in one way back from Sundown to Notts with 3 kids under 5. Paul the owner was very welcoming as were the few regulars at the bar. By no means a chain pub but cracking food and big portions...the bangers and.mash is a kids portion! Would recommend to any family who are happy to be in a normal village pub.

Friendly, clean and not your usual pub in and out. Stay a while and just enjoy. Sit inside or out (dependent on the weather of course). Children can play in the park, which is fenced of and safe for the children. Of course you still need to keep an eye on your own child.Good prices and we will be back more in the warmer days, after a pleasant wall through Ollerton Pit Woods.
