Service and food good but lacks atmosphere or music. Will not be rushing back.

This pub has a good choice of food and drink. I suppose, more importantly, you get a very friendly welcome and proper old fashioned service. They made me a superb BLT sandwich whilst the kitchen was closed!!! Very kind.Visit this pub, the whole experience is the tops!.....I only write reviews in exceptional circumstances..... Enjoy

Lovely little pub. Serving amazing food. Visited today Sunday 24th October 2021. Sunday roast was one of the best I have tasted. Atmosphere and service are brilliant. Will be visiting again when next in the area

Great pub serving delicious food - much needed after a schlep up the M1.The homemade steak and onion pie was possibly one of the best I've ever had - the filling was absolutely superb - and I also went for a rib-sticking portion of treacle pudding and ice cream for pudding. It would have been rude not to.All washed down with a couple of pints of Longhorn IPA. Marvellous!Very friendly and efficient staff too.Highly recommended...

I would like to publicly thank and praise Lisa and her staff for accommodating our wake on Wed 25th Aug so well. Nothing was too much trouble.The function room was laid out for the buffet and everything was handled with such sensitivity and care for the kind of function it was. I can't speak too highly of them and their courteous attitude and help to make a sad day as happy as possible.I would thoroughly recommend the Hearty to anyone and will certainly turn to them for future functions. Amazing!! We go to many pubs. Even live next door to one. This has to be the most friendly pub around this entire area. As soon as we walked through the door we were welcomed with open arms. There were 4 adults an 8 year old and a baby and all us us were made to feel like the most important people in the pub. Which wasn't left to just our table but everyone in there was treated the same. I've never been somewhere that my daughter says let's go back again. Now we have found somewhere
