The limes cafe in Newark and Sherwood

Today was our first and last visit to limes cafe ..We got 2 standard breakfast and 2 cups of coffee £14.10p which consists of 1 plate had one sausage 1 bacon 1 egg I fried bread beans tomatoes and a slice of yesterday's toast the other was slightly different with 2 sausages and I think it was supposed to be a hash brown .Both breakfasts where just as bad as each other , the hashbrown was solid as a brick ? Eggs where still raw on the top and partly see through , beans and tomatoes cold . Sausage didn't taste like a sausage the meat inside was just white mush so I'm guessing a very very cheap sausage bacon extremely salty so again very very cheap low quality which was shocking as the place is surrounded by farms and I'm sure could use local produce and make a far better breakfast ..Either way cost was too expensive considering what we gotCoffee was simply a level teaspoon of cheap freeze dried coffee in a large glass cup so basically coloured water .I think it was noticed that we were not usual visitors and not from the community so we were basically just handed rubbish considering the brilliant reviews thus place has and how busy it was ot seriously can't be just handing this out to everyone.It may have just been an off day but I certainly won't come back to try again

Nice breakfast reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Would have been five stars but kids tv on really loud was too much.

Had a lovely breakfast here. It got really busy whilst we were here but the food was brought out quickly. It was hot and delicious. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.

Today was my first visit to Lime's. It was highly recommended and it lived up to its recommendation. I had a build your own breakfast with a decaf Tea. The staff, quality of produce and service were excellent, as was the price 👍 Thank you

I parked my lorry overnight free of charge. Went in for a great, freshly made breakfast. Nice staff. Clean toilets. Outside seat area. Well worth stopping at.

Great breakfast here. Not everything has to be a franchise! Excellent menu of breakfast, and dinner, with the offer of puds too. Great prices, and staff. Keep it up guys 😁

A regular treat. Almost perfect buffet breakfast (the sausages could do with a bit more heat.) Definitely worth stopping for on the A614. More than adequate menu, nice bright, clean interior, lovely staff and massive carpark for those Artics!

Love a little trip to Limeys, straight forward transport style cafe. The eat in menu contains some unexpected items which are nice. Take out coffee cups charged at 20p which seems a bit odd

Stopped here on a Saturday at mid day was very busy and had to wait a minute or two for a table. We had full English breakfast which was tasty. Not too keen on the sausages but that's a matter of taste and the fried eggs were a little overcooked but it didn't spoil the overall experience. At £4.40 it was great value for money. You could add extra items to your meal for minimal cost. Service was good and the place nice and clean. Would recommend.
