·

Very very poor food and service, and even poorer customer service from my complaint.4 people dined, service slow and poor.Food appalling standard.Complained to head office, who passed the complaint direct to the Springfield. The manageress basically didn’t want to know, and denied we had had any problems at all!We will never visit a Vintage Inn again after this .

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, family friendly and lovely open fire. Jan can't do enough to help... 5 stars! Now, I just need to stay here to find put how "open" the open prison is... I hope they mean open minded...

Poor service, was waiting over half an hour before anyone bothered to take our order and when they did was very unprofessional as if they wasn’t interested and didn’t want to be there, service is very slow and wasn’t even that busy. Had Sunday dinner vegetables and roasted potatoes were very hard like bricks could not eat them. Meat was not cooked the way either of us asked it to be. Is very over priced for food that is NOT fresh and badly cooked. Food is ordered in already seasoned. I would not recommend or will be returning very disappointed. Staff were rude and uninterested, felt very let down I expected better. My recommendation is to Avoid Avoid Avoid. I’m not one to complain and to be honest didn’t make my disappointment known when was there, I kept hoping they would redeem themselves but standards just kept slipping.

One of the best meals I have eaten recently. Great cooking (all fresh), service and overall ambience of the place. Recommended

EXTREMELY disappointing I suffer from food allergy’s and when I made my booking online over a week earlier I stated this, to then be told that they don’t look at these and that there was only 1 item a £20 steak that I could eat, I find it disgusting not worth the money everything is ordered in already seasoned so obviously not fresh, very disappointing and over priced for what it is. I felt very discriminated against and the fact that I stated my allergies on there online booking and for no one to take the time to look at this is very poor management of a restaurant, the lady who came over who worked there actually said the chef is too busy to look at them! I find this disgusting and extremely shocking and I recommend this should change to prevent anyone else with allergies suffering the discrimination I did, I felt embarrassed to be honest, this completely defeats the object of even listing them if no one is going to look. I will not be returning nor will I be recommending. Even other customers in there who were sat near us was shocked by this. Very disappointing. As a follow up to my review after reading the response the restaurant left, I was not asked about my allergies while being served there was 4 of us on the table and my order was taken last none of us were asked, it was me that made my allergies known to the server, I was Not given an allergy app, I had an incredible unpleasant experience and would not be leaving a negative review otherwise, I do not need to contact you to discuss my unpleasant time with you as I will not be dining with you again or recommending you to anyone. All I expected from my review is for you to take responsibility for my unpleasant experience and learn from it, with training and better management.

Was looking for something to eat, googled locally and Springfield showed up.It was a Brunch menu, breakfast.Full English was delicious and quality, 1 of the nicest breakfasts I've had in a very long time.I'll be back to try the regular menu, because if their breakfast is that good, the rest must be amazing.

The quality of the food is very good but the service so slow… We waited for about 25 minutes for the starters and then another 25 minutes for the mains and about 30 minutes for the dessert and it wasn’t busy at all! All we got is an apologies and nothing more. I would give 5 stars if I didn’t waited for more than 1.5hours in total…
