Waitrose Cafe in Newark and Sherwood

Good selection of produce, fresh food counter, and if you take the time to look you can find some bargains. Large selection of wines. Toilets on site. Large car park, cash machine outside. 5 minutes walk to train station and town centre. Next door to Newark and Sherwood council. No more free coffee, and from 22nd February. No free newspaper when you spend £10. Now a reward scheme in place, you have to download an Waitrose app. And you can choose two items with money off.

So often items are out of stock. Poor relation to other Waitroses.

Tried to use the my Waitrose vouchers - what a nightmare! Took ages to get their Wi-Fi - they wanted to know my age , address, phone number, secret code etc - why? Finally managed to use the vouchers but surely they can think of an easier system than this to get a money off offer

Just received à £40 fine in post bcs I stayed too long on carpark! Decided not to go there ever again.... (was in coffee shop for the whole duration catching up with friend I hadn't seen in a long time and it was an easy meeting point...) So annoying!

The customer service here is absolutely brilliant, had a lovely visit. Thank you to all the staff, especially those on checkout.

Waitrose is always a lovely experience a little sad to see all the home part has gone but we’ve still got a nice shop

Usual great products and helpful staff. HOWEVER - supervision of the car park has recently been handed over to Britannia Parking and a new 2 hour limit applies which is minitored by cctv. Given the size of the store, as well as if someone intends doing a 'big shop' this restricted time period is not sufficient without having to constantly 'clock-watch'. It is now impossible to have time to have a coffee or a snack/meal in the shops own cafeteria before or after shopping. I have to travel 10 miles to get to the store, so more regular shorter visits would not be cost effective and would use more fuel at a time when we are supposed to be helping save the planet by using less fossil fuels. It makes more sense now to shop elsewhere (but nearer) where parking is free, albeit the products won't be the same. The new car park restrictions will do nothing to attract more customers or business - possibly exactly the opposite!

What a pleasure to be back in Waitrose and I wasn't disappointed.The selection of goods was first class, as was the customer care.Having completed our shopping my 5 year old daughter was given a box of cakes by one of the partners, for her excellent scanning skills (self scan) and it really made her day.Its experiences like this that make Waitrose a place that customers want to return to.Thank you! 😊
