Crispin Inn in North East Derbyshire

Went to lunch with friends. Pleasant pub but we had poor food. Liver was over cooked, steak sandwich served on poor quality supermarket bread, latte was weak and flavourless. Beer good. Others happy with their meals, but all commented on coffee.

Wow ordered the steak and ribs. It's huge be warned Don't eat all day if you want to finish it. Was fantastic

We had been for a lovely walk which was wet and muddy with 2 collies and then decided to eat at the Crispin. I had the steak & Ale pie with mash and it was lovely only thing I would say is the gravy was very runny. My other half had the rib eye sandwich, he enjoyed it and the steak was very tender. Dogs had water if they wanted it 😀 great friendly place and welcoming and defo no probs to have muddy boots and soggy dogs. Will go back.

The worst Sunday dinner I've ever had. 🚩🚩🚩Overcharged us on purpose and admitted to it?! Zero taste, cold. Politely informed the staff who at first offered us free drinks, when we hadn't eaten any of the meal, they finally agreed to only charge us for meals eaten. (1 out of 8)Paid on the way out, glared at by every member of staff. One of us queried the price he had been charged and was told over the bar, confidently that he was PURPOSELY OVERCHARGED £7.70 for a beer because "we had done nothing but moan" Chef then came out to the bar to tell us to leave, assured us we "must have no taste". Then got aggressive with us, saying he'd make us leave?!Crazy, still in disbelief a Sunday roast can go 'that' bad.

Absolutely class. Food was amazing . The place was nice abd welcoming.. Thanks for your welcome to our dogs as well

The food was mega, 8 of us ate and we all loved it. Kids meals are very generous

I had heard bad things about the food here. Over 10 of us called for dinner and all thoroughly enjoyed what we ate. The staff did a great job bringing out the meals all together, all food was hot. I hope we chose the Crispin again next Christmas and I for one will be eating there long before that.

Really nice Xmas sandwich with delicious gravy and roast spuds and parsnips. Big enough for 2 to share as a snack. OK choice of beer, although it could have been colder, and friendly service.

Big plus for the fillings in the sandwiches (plenty) ,service excellent but it was lacking in the execution it was something I would put together not a professional chef.

Mega fish and chips OMG I've seen smaller great white sharks, the triple cooked chips were amazing
