We had dinner here with friends, as we were staying in the village. The staff are welcoming and friendly, providing an excellent service. The dining tables are suitably distanced and there are a variety of sizes, depending upon the party size. The chef actually came to our table to explain some of the dishes, which was very kind. There's such a varied menu including gluten free, pescetarian, vegetarian and vegan options. Our food was hot and delicious. We had beef chilli, liver and bacon plus a pudding and drinks. The total was £34, very reasonable. We walked there, but parking is available on the road outside. Dogs are allowed inside. The bathrooms were clean.A great place to visit.

Made to feel very welcome at this lovely country pub. The home cooked food was delicious (next time I'm going to leave room for dessert!) Reasonably priced, generous portions, very tasty. Would definitely recommend a meal here.

Cracking country pub with really hospitable and friendly staff. Muddy boots and a dog not a problem. Lady serving us even came over and spoilt the dog rotten with treats. What more could you ask for

Visited on a quiet Tuesday afternoon for food with the family. Great offer in place, think it was £15.99 for three courses. Food was homemade, tasty and well presented. The portions were ample and we left full to the brim. Service was good and very friendly. Will return.

Took a punt on this place as we couldn't get in elsewhere - very glad we did. Great service from friendly staff, and a very good roast dinner. The term 'homemade' is admittedly overused, but that's exactly how it tasted, good portion too. Also nice to have four ales on - not the most exciting lineup, but they were all in excellent nick. Slightly pricier than average, absolutely worth it though. Will be back!
