Slightly expensive. Busy as expected and staff that served our table, slightly forgetful. Could have done with sauces being available on the table instead of having to ask, which we did not due to being busy. Obviously a popular pub to visit for some. Suggestion..ditch the stuffing as not the best taste..ended up still being able to taste the bit we had the next day. Bar staff friendly and polite. Would we visit again? Probably wouldn't be our first choice for a Sunday dinner.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Celebrated my 60th yesterday, 20 guests. The food was beautiful and the service was exemplary. Very busy with more than one large party and many smaller covers. Calm and professional staff and kitchen function.

I Stayed here when the rooms were first launched a few years ago and delighted to see how the rooms had been kept fresh, immaculate and updated. Small details that you normally see in 5 star hotels, this isn't a B and B its a boutique hotel of the highest quality. As for the food and drink, the beer is well kept and a good choice of gins etc, good value, but the real draw is the food, absolutely impeccable and a nice mix of menu, traditional and new, love the tapas. Breakfast also very good and the service was simply amazing. Highly recommended and that's clear from the footfall on a wet and windy Tuesday evening.

Well, what another amazing experience at the Devonshire Arms. We have been numerous times now and have had a tremendous meal on every occasion. The food is just 1st class! Not forgetting the staff, who are welcoming, professional and friendly, plus all set in an amazing setting. It really delivers in every aspect of what you want from a special evening out. Thanks again for more great memories.

Our first visit to the Devonshire last night. Four adults and two children. We all agreed the food was excellent, the staff were all very professional but friendly as well. A lovely place, very reasonably priced food and drinks, a choice of hand pulled ales. Will certainly be returning soon.

we arrived 1pm on friday, the restaurant was already full and few spaces left in the bar area. so if you do not want to be disappointed, recommend to book a table in advance. this pub is one of the best pubs named in newspaper. the meals were delicious but i am a big eater would find dishes are in small portions. i also noted people just come for coffees and cakes. if you want breakfast, book in advance 2 for £12. the apple and strawberry crumbles was delicious.

10 out of 10 for everything!Every member of staff was friendly, helpful, and appeared happy in their work. The room we had was excellent. Very comfortable, quality linen, lovely decor, quality products in the bathroom. Also nice touches such as fresh milk in the fridge along with complimentary water and biscuits. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent! We will definitely be booking again!

Me and the Mrs went for date night, and were blown away. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. Hugh was very helpful and patient when the Mrs couldn't decide what she wanted to drink. We started with the Moroccan lamb meatballs, we were a bit surprised by the small size of it as it was listed under sharing plates, but we realised later that we wouldn't have wanted any more. The Mrs was really wanting to ask if she could get the recipe for them as she liked them that much. For the main, the Mrs has the margarita pizza with hand cut chips. Being a picky eater, I was both surprised and happy she emptied her plate (except for the crusts). I opted for the Yankee burger. Absolutely amazing. The only thing I would say would make it better would be proper hand cut fries (as they seemed to be frozen fries), but they still didn't disappoint. Everything had amazing flavour and once we finished our mains, we were too full to order desert. We will be making this our regular date spot as we have never been to such a nicely laid out restaurant with such amazing food.

Lovely place to stay, clean modern very well appointed rooms including coffee maker, Yorkshire tea with fresh milk in fridge in your room and choice of pillows in a comfortable bed. Food in restaurant is excellent with good choice of vegetarian and vegan options. Most of all the staff are very helpful, plenty of them and all serve you with a smile and happy to help. I would very much recommend.
