Three Cottages in North East Derbyshire

It's a lovely dog-friendly pub and the food was delicious. One star knocked off for the food taking ages; if they'd just said everything is done from scratch it would be 5 stars.It'll be fabulous in summer as there's a lovely beer garden too.So go, enjoy; just not if you're in a rush.

Having been here for tea and enjoyed it thought we would try Sunday Lunch. We appreciated getting a table at short notice.I ordered beef and received a plate of fat. The uncooked veg was frozen.The best thing on the plate was Yorkshire pudding.I don't know how you can charge those prices for frozen veg, a tbs of mash and fat.Staff always lovely but sorry no return for us.Show lessDate of visit: February 2022

Lunchtime, table had been booked a while. Ordered drinks.Unfortunately when we Ordered our Main Courses, we were told as there was a function on, we would be severed afterwards. Our Main meal arrived at 2pm. Unfortunately we won't be returning to due to having to wait a hour for our Main course. Surely when our table was booked, the function was also booked. This wasn't mentioned at all until the last mint.The food we all enjoyed, but lack of communication spoilt our meal.

It was ok ! The pub / restaurant is done very well and is a comfy place to be. I had heard really good reviews about their food but we found it quite disappointing. Very bland and wouldn't rush back !

I organised our Christmas 🤶 work celebrations 2021 to be held here with the help of Jackie.Everything from my phone call to them to inquire about the venue to the evening went totally stress free and straight forward!Jackie sent me some festive menus, which we chose from and payed our deposits.As the date got nearer, the covid was getting worse!! I had 3 ladies who didn’t want to risk being out in a group that would spoil their time at Christmas with the family (understandable)I rang and explained the situation they were absolutely brilliant also offered their deposit back !The night arrived we had a fantastic time the room was lovely the food was good and they had a little disco on in the other side which they invited us to join!!Really fantastic evening enjoyed by all!Definitely we will return as we need to try out the lovely beer garden!!!Thank you Jackie and your staffFrom Lisa and the Rykneld homes customer service team

Food and service is always good. My wife had the steak pie which is always excellent and I had the loaded fries which was also very good. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly staff and a wonderful remodeling over the last year has transformed this hidden gem! Worth the visit.**Updated** we booked a party of 30 guests on a busy Friday night. Staff were friendly and approachable. Food was brought out exactly on time and was delicious. Fantastic pub.

Went here as passing by on Saturday lunch time, had a lovely meal whilst sat outside in a beautifully manicured garden. Enjoyed the food so much we went back again on Sunday with our two teenage children. Lovely food, excellent service. Will definitely go back again. So good talking my office in to having Christmas meal here.

Just wanted to say thank you to Nicky and the team at the three cottages for putting on a great retirement party for my wife and family. The hot and cold buffet was superb, the food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were all friendly and attentive. A great place to have a private party and we will definitely be having our next one there.
