Branston Chinese Take Away in North Kesteven

The prawn crackers are out of this world, they must've changed it up since the last time (was there pre-pandemic)!Had the BBQ ribs, Singapore noodles (asked for extra spicy), fried rice with curry sauce (their curry sauce has such an aromatic blend - mild but has a little kick).I called up and did a collection (it's much quicker than waiting on delivery), they only let in one person at a time and I see the lady wiping down the surfaces as I left. The 5 star hygiene rating also gives a lot of reassurance!

Very nice food we are blessed to have them in our village.

Food was nice, the chips were quite dry and we did not get our usual complimentary prawn crackers.

People often only rate a place when they've either had an amazing experience or not so great experience. Since I've had a consistently lovely experience I thought I'd add my thoughts here - mainly letting you all know my go-to dishes below. If you don't know what to try - try any of the below. Onion rings to die for and the hot sour soup is delish. All the other food is good too.

Excellent food thoroughly enjoyed, only one complaint......ordered 2 chow mains and got only one, minor detail,They will sort,Give this place recognition, it's worth it.

Absolutely lovely food. Placed our order at 5 was ready right on time at 5.45. Great service would deffo recommend to others.

Since we moved up this way in March we have always gone to a Chinese takeaway further in to town which we've been very happy with. Alas because it's closed on Monday's we had to go elsewhere and decided to try this place in Branston which happens to be our local one, big mistake.We bought 3 dishes....sweet & sour chicken chicken 'Cantonese style', beef chow mein and mushroom chow mein. The chicken was tough as old boots to the point of it being so hard and stringy it was indigestible, just check my attached pic. Both the chow meins were bland as hell and had to be drenched in soy sauce to get some sort of flavour. Must be said that the beef was also rather tough and chewy but nowhere near as bad as the chicken to be fair.The lady behind the counter was very friendly throughout and most embarrassed not to mention extremely apologetic when I had to pull her for not giving me me the fiver change due having given her £20.10 when I initially made the order.For the just mentioned reason alone I'll give them two stars rather than one but the grub was horrible, gives me no pleasure putting the boot in but I'm sorry all three of us in the household hated it so we won't ever be going there again.

Disappointing 2nd visit. 1st time was ok, nothing special but sound basic Chinese takeaway food. But our second visit was just awful. Food smelt like it was out of a bin. Really couldn't eat it and we ended up throwing it away. Very poor quality and made without care. Not acceptable. I'm afraid we will not return.

30th december 2015. bought chicken balls, chips and sweet and sour sauce for my tea and found in my bag of chicken balls a deep fried earwig too.took it back to the takeaway and got accused of planting it there myself. i got a refund but they kept the fried earwig which i asked for back.tomorrow i will be ringing the environmental health as its not that long ago they had cleanliness issues at the takeaway
