Fish King in North Kesteven

Very disappointedThis chip shop used to be the best in the area, however having got home with our meals, when we opened the chips I thought they had given us mashed potato. It was difficult to find an individual chip, the mushy peas had so much green food colour in them I thought the Hulk had had an accident, they were very dark green (unnatural). The batter on the fish was also very average and not as bubbly crispy as I have experienced from this chip shop before. We had ordered a regular and a large fish but it was impossible to tell the difference between the two and neither fish was that large.We will not be visiting again in a hurry.Have given The Fish King another try, and what a difference!!! This has completely turned round and is back to being the best, well done,staff are excellent too 5 stars

Large fish and chips was extremely bigger than I expected, amazing quality and portion size, couldn't finish the chips, mushy peas and curry sauce the best.

Superb quality of food always. Cannot fault and excellent customer service. Best Chippy in North Hykeham, have used for years now.

Great fish always cooked perfectly, light brown batter. Busy on Friday tea, but you can click and collect. Loads of staff at busy times so waiting time is minimum. Friendly staff always. Medium fish is large, fish is what I call 'thick' no thin fillets here. I would say better than the 'elite', its always very consistent food too. You won't be disappointed.

Been a great chip shop for years but tonight I got served a potato fritter rather than fish. An honest mistake I'm sure but there was a lot of kids behind the counter tonight and not much supervision.

Lovely staff serving brilliant fish and chips. The size of their large haddock is unbelievable, too big for my largest plate. I portion of fish and chips feeds two of us. And at a very competitive price. Service time is fast. Deserves 6 stars
