Scoffers Fish Restaurant and Takeaway in North Kesteven

I have lots of childhood memories of eating chips from Scoffers. Its a kind of 'happy days' place. For the first time in over 20 years I went back and it's hardly changed. I love the simple combination of large car park, either sit in or take out and good old fashioned fish and chips. Watch the world go by. It's probably a bit old fashioned but has charm.

Really good chips and I had a battered sausage for a great price of £3.

Chips were lovely and they also do scraps which you don't see often. Fish didn't look that nice so didn't have it but it may taste better than it looked. Had fishcake instead and these were good.

THE FISHLESS FISH & CHIP SHOP!Only fish and chip shop I know that runs out of cod on a Saturday evening!! Second time in just a few weeks 🙁🙁 on the plus side chips were nice! Decided to give them another try and same again no cod!!

Huge tasty fish. Owners are lovely. Best fish and chips I have ever tasted.

Good portion size. Open at lunch and there was a queue. I was approached by a gentleman who said that this was the best in the local area.I would say this place has good points and bad like any chip shop.Chips are fairly standard and nothing to write home about but are worth their money.The saveloy tastes great. Loads of meaty flavour and the skin has a little smokey flavour. The bite was perfect firm but not like a brick and the meat was juicy.To move to a 5 is about moving the chips to something special

Ok, it was 8pm so I guess we had left it pretty late in the day but........ just about the worst 3 portions of fish and chips we have ever eaten. Last weeks dried up chips and fish batter that you could make a handbag out of. We have not eaten from Scoffers for 6-8 years and you can be certain that we will not be repeating the experience ever again. Simply not good enough!

Food was amazing & such massive portions. Our river enjoyed her sausage also. This is what I love to do getting paid to eat and it was worth the journey.Weve just left thanks so much back to Scotland now. If your in sleaford area you really need to eat here.

I enjoy sitting in the small seated area attached to the side of the takeaway. The staff are always very welcoming and polite. The side salad is very good. Always comes exactly like the picture and always tastes just as good. My picture doesn't do it justice but it gives a fair idea. Fish, chips and side salad always a winner in a friendly environment
