I can honestly say that this place exceeded our expectations tonight! The gluten free options are amazing, so much to choose from which is rare! Portions were huge, ended up taking our chorizo loaded sweet potato fries home with us lol Cannot fault anything. The owner is lovely, took the time to talk to us about the menu and the gluten free options. His wife who works there aswell is GF so he knew all about what it was and the seriousness of it. We will be back the next time we are here. My new fav place to eat out in Sleaford!!

Very lovely food, and kind staff; I got a migraine after we had ordered, and they were good enough to wrap my meal so we could take it home. I warmed it up in the oven when I'd recovered a bit, and it was absolutely delicious. 4 stars only because when we were in (River Festival) we could only sit outside - usually absolutely not a problem, but unfortunately although the heaters on half the tables were installed, they were not connected, & we were not made aware of this, so we were pretty chilly.

We booked our table for 9 and 4 Spaniels in advance and the service was excellent. Our table was ready for us on arrival and the staff helpful, friendly and efficient. We had brunch - all 9 of us very happy with food which was exceptional value for money. Staff provided water bowls for the dogs.We will definitely call again when in the area.

Love going here! Such a friendly welcome .We use this venue for catchup meetings with my husbands cousins, we've been coming here for several years now as the quality of the food and service is excellent. We met up a couple of weeks before Christmas and most of us had the seasonal menu which didn't disappoint, beautiful desserts, tables set with crackers etc. Lovely staff who couldn't do enough, all at a very reasonable price. We'll done 'Barge & Bottle'

I've been coming here for years and I've always enjoyed my meals, however yesterday was the exception. First time back after lockdown and the prices have almost tripled. I wouldn't have minded if the food was nice. I could barely eat anything, the chips were undercooked frozen oven chips and the chicken had been microwaved and was tough and tasteless. I could just throw things in the microwave at home for a fraction of the price. When I go out to pay for a freshly cooked meal that is what you should expect. What happened to the hand cut deep fried chips and sizzling grilled chicken. It has put me off eating here again. Shame because lovely pub and staff. Thanks.

1st time visit after many recommendations. Family of 6, plenty of other families in with a relaxed yet busy atmosphere In which the staff never missed a beat being polite and attentive at all times. The food came within expected time frames, cooked very well. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the portion sizes, the starters and mains were huge, leaving no room to try the deserts sadly, will be back again for those.

A large restaurant, offering essentially pub grub but in a slightly better setting. Food was plentiful and well cooked, waiters polite and attentive, a pleasant evening meal. Beer was good.

I had the most excellent seafood pasta. Been here a few times before, the staff are friendly and their Sunday lunch is good.
