The Elite Fish And Chip Company in North Kesteven

We recently moved from Sleaford to Ruskington and tried to maintain our regular Saturday fish supper at the local fish and chip shop. We have given them a number of chances but are buying our supper in Sleaford in future. The fish at eclipse is slightly over cooked so crumbly but the big criticism is soggy batter!! Thought the first week we were just unlucky but the chips are slightly greasy too and they are always the same.

On the occasions I have treated myself to my tea from Elite its been ok. On this occasion yesterday (22 Oct) I was well let down as my On line order was missing a large chips. Where as that seems pretty insignificant it does come as a real let down especially when I only found out once I arrived home. No one checks their online order on the doorstep of the shop as it comes packaged to keep it warm. Please more diligence when making up the online orders

Fish improved slightly but chip still insipid and tasteless. very dry. Undercooked hard with no colour to them. Very chewy and hard and inside lumpy which caused our elderly aunt to chokeThese chips need cooking much longer to be edible again.No one at the shop seems to care much about this matter which is shocking as one complaint is one to many

This is usually a great chippy but not tonight ( Wednesday)_ the worst chips I have ever had! Sort of fried on the outside but raw inside, Come on how difficult is it to fry some tates - very not pleased and it ruined the family's tea.

Excellent quality fish and chips.My wife never eats fish but this one time she did (as I love it) and enjoyed it. The glass of wine may have helped!Onion rings were truly excellent too.Overall, a little pricey (fish is expensive these days) but well worth it.We'll be back I'm sure, we're only down the road.

Great place for traditional f&c, with mushy peas of course. Comfortable, large dining area as well with friendly and efficient staff. Desserts are worth leaving room for too.
