The Ferry Boat in North Kesteven

This pub is a hidden gem. Just off the main road you will find parking and an outside seating area. Inside a bar area with character and friendly helpful staff. There is a good menu and selection of beers. Food was served nicely and in good time. Costs were fair and reasonable being at a level to the quality of the dining.

Good village pub. Decent menu and drinks. Large outside area for those warm evenings.

Only two staff running the bar and food service tonight (a Saturday), but they were amazing and there were no waits - fantastic effort, much appreciated.

Been here twice during the half price meals.Lovely pub, nice atmosphere, great staff.Ham, eggs, chips and salad is our favourite pub dish and theirs is excellent. Thoroughly recommend their homemade crumble and custard🤗. Another bonus, dog friendly so we can take Molly the 🐩.UPDATE:- called in today, 3.6.22 and as good as before. Great meal and staff.

I've attended two family funeral wakes here recently, and we have been very well catered for, including gluten free.The Ferry Boat is a delightful village pub, and quite spacious inside, with its own car park. Can recommend.

WOULDHAVE BEEN ONE STAR IF NOT FOR EXCELENT STAFF! What is it with this pub? Not excepting cash? I had the same experience at Royal William lV on Brayford. I never realised until Sunday when visiting The Ferry Boat pub that they were owned by the same company. Luckily the young woman that served me was more accommodating than the idiot at The Royal William who absolutely refused to take payment and I left leaving the drinks on the bar, incidentally, including the one that I had purchased for the barman.This woman was extremely helpful and payed with her card, allowing me to pay her the cash. The policy of this company, in not accepting cash is nothing short of disgraceful. Bordering on discriminatory. The elderly, who may not use cards, people wanting to get away from card use to manage their money better, and someone who cannot get a card for whatever reason, are all effectively barred! The pathetic excuse offered is 'due to Covid'! What absolute rubbish! This company is taking advantage of the Covid situation to save cash. Well it isn't really working and it is a very short sighted policy. The machine may go wrong, card might have a 'glitch', system could be 'down' etc etc. Cash is always reliable. In ALL circumstances.Its a real shame as the pubs themselves are really nice, but this stingy, money grabbing policy is really not doing the owning company any favours, and the name.... The eversosensible, should be re named the eversoridiculous company.The reason that it is so obviously a financial one. Cash DOES NOT present a risk. If the owners were truly THAT safety conscious, WHY ARENT THE STAFF WEARING MASKS? I rest my case.

Great pub. Been there on e before when we were up from Portsmouth, the food was fantastic then. Back again for a more sombre occation but the atmosphere and food was still as good. Great pub with great service, food and surroundings. A must visit.

Highly recommend the staff and their hospitality, we’d arranged a wake here and the catering was excellent. In particular the attention to our different dietary needs, vegan Vegetarian Lactose free and Gluten free !The Bar staff were very attentive but not over the top.Thank you all very much.

I feel conflicted about this place. The ambience and decor is lovely, and I liked the food. However when I ordered a sauvignon blanc (without seeing the wine list) I was surprised and unhappy at the £9.60 price for a large glass. My fault for not checking first I suppose but still dear.
